The SENTRY- Class Basic Artillery Mech is a highly mobile, lightweight mech equipped with basic artillery for versatile performance.
About this creation
The Sentry’s main weapons are its four-barreled machine guns, its anti-infantry weapons. In stead of rotating, the barrels of these machine guns are fixed. Each gun can fire individually of the other, but they usually fire in a one-after-the-other pattern for increased RPM without the inaccuracy of a rotating barrel.
For eliminating small to medium-sized vehicles, the Sentry is armed with twenty-four 240mm missile tubes.
To power this relatively lightweight machine, dual GAC generators have been integrated into the Sentry’s design. Providing stable locomotion is the Sentry’s Gravity Centering Cylinder, found on the top half of its backside.
Although the Sentry is equipped with two main Gravity Amplification Component generators, along with one backup generator, a large amount of excess power is generated that it does not need. Because of this, the Sentry features power-sharing cables and a foldout back-up generator to support other machines on the battlefield if they should run out of power; an extremely improbable (but none the less possible) scenario.
Along with the automated control of SmartTarget, the Sentry is manned by a single engineer.
The legs of the Sentry can extend greatly because of the make and placement of its hydraulic tubes.
