Just a little idea that came into being and gradually began collecting dust a few weeks ago.
About this creation
A "flat" view.
In case you weren't able to figure out what the lame attempt at a picture is, here's a close-up. It's some sort of village, probably somewhere in Scandinavia or the Mediterranean. The top-left is a sun, and the right-hand side has a church and the building beneath the sun is just a building beneath the sun.
A side view. Moving on.
A shot of the open space in the grid. In order for a sliding block puzzle to work, there has to be one empty space in the grid, so that the pieces may move around.
Here's a shot of the puzzle jumbled up.
This shot shows the construction of the puzzle. In order for the pieces to move around smoothly, I had to come up with as smooth a surface as I could. I ended up using the piece shown here.
Another construction shot. On a less related note, I have a huge batch of Bricklink pieces coming in any day now, so expect to see a few more MOCs coming up.
