Alternate of Creator set 5867 Super Speedster. This Classic American car is built in a pretty unusual way, with some serious SNOT work. Not only was this my intention in the first place, but it was necessary as well to get some interesting details.

About this creation

Back right perspective with one door open.

Due to the complexity of the build the only feature is openable doors.

Sideview, which nicely shows the white stripe that continues from the front to the rear.

Action shot. Even without a driver it looks like the car is in motion.

Photo from the back, with the dual exhaust visible.

Birdview of the cabriolet. It's very wide.

Bottom view... with studs?

Great models these alternates. How about creating instructions? Using LDD or LDraw should be not very difficult? ;-) Perhaps I will try creating a model digitally and try to make instructions myself.

It's the semi-transparent glass plate from my diner table. Just being creative with my surrounding, because I don't have special studio equipment.

Fantastic model, absolutely !! The back looks a bit like an old Corvette, the front a bit like a mustang, really great.....Nice photo's too, what do you use to put the cars on? It's not a mirror but it's shiny alright ;-)

Very nice creation ! When I saw the small picture it made me think of an old corvette. It looks better than the original set. I wanted to buy it before I saw this but now I surely will.

Having seen some other alternates I already thought this set has much SNOT potential but with this build, well phew, studs at the bottom! However, though I like the rear design, the great looking doors and the round-going white stripe the front and interior just aren't my thing :)

Wow! What a alternate! You are pulling out all the stops on this one. Great color scheme, great details, especially the front and back. I haven't finished figuring out your 5867 truck alternate yet and you've gone and raised the bar with this car. Everyone else take note, you've just been schooled by a master!
