Ferrum is an inventive Matoran. He spent most of his life on Xia producing weapons like the Peace Maker used by the dark hunter Thel, as well as machines used for combat. He is also part time member of the Matoran treasure hunting team InnerCore. When he heard about what was happening on the Isle of Thorns, he packed up his shop and went out to see how he could help the residents. He runs a gun store and vehicle garage near the outer rim of the island.

He carries his own prototype of the M-12 Peace Maker. Even on its lowest setting, the weapon can knock a Toa flat.
