UPDATE 2/16/2011, Phase II added. This is my version of the Battlestar Mercury from the show Battlestar Galactica. While she is in the same class as the Battlestar Pegasus, she was built much earlier following the end of the first cylon war. She was built in complete secrecy as a massive overahaul to the aging Galactica class battlestars to be used as a test platform for prototype and future technologies. It took Colonial contruction crews almost 6 years to build her due to her massive size and cutting edge technologies. These technologies would later be refined and installed on future battlestars. She was kept under the name Colonial BS-X, and it wasn't until after the Pegasus and Pacifica were built that the existance of Colonial BS-X was made public. She would bear the name Mercury and the battlestars were therefore defined as Mercury Class.
