Just an idea that was forged into being a few months ago.
About this creation
A front view of the checkered puzzle. When this seven-piece puzzle is assembled it forms a perfect cube. In LEGO-scale, the cube is 6x6x6 studs. Let's disassemble.
Yes, I know I probably shouldn't have photographed this on black, but I wasn't really thinking then. Deal with it.
The first piece: a a T-shaped piece consisting of four cubes, or 14.8% of the entire puzzle.
Next is a corner piece consisting of three cubes (11.1%).
This one is a mirror image of the previous piece. Where black was before, there is now white, and vice versa. (11.1%)
The Tetris-style L, consisting of (14.8%).
Holy god, it is Tetris. (14.8%)
Moving on to the more three-dimensional pieces, we have this...shape. I'm actually not too sure what it's called. (14.8%)
Another shot of the piece.
And the last piece. (14.8%)
This one looks like a piece of design furniture to me. You know, the kind that people buy because of its price and account on everyone else having one. Depressing, I know.
Once I was finished with the puzzle, I felt it only fitting to create a case for it. You'll note the color scheme is the same as the one I used in my "Techniques" MOCs.
the case partially opened, revealing the puzzle.
The top of the case. I'm not entirely happy with this part.
And the inside of the case minus the puzzle. That's it for this post. Until next time.

Oh, that's cool. I built one myself with LDD a few months ago. I think, we both did it the same way. I have LDD instructions and a picture with a disassembled corner piece on my page: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/287614 Check it if you like. |

Amazing! It looks like a lot of work went into this. Especially the case! Great design..I've really got to try making one of these someday...It's always astounded me how the pieces fit together so perfectly. |

Very intriguing; I love it! It looks simple by appearance but is in fact very complicated in design. Very very nice. |
