Cafe Corner Interior
The Cafe Corner needs an interior!
About this creation

A nice "cafe" scene on the bottom floor, complete with tiled floor, oak wood bar and taps serving Ireland's finest: Guinness!

Stairs fixed to full width of hallway. You can see my mix of gray and bley.

Alleyway in back with cement patio.

Interior tables!

Second floor hotel room. Complete with bathroom, bed, chair, TV and view!

Notice the nice wood floors both inside and outside the room!

Bathroom with ceramic tile floor, toilet, sink and shower.

Another view down the hallway.

Unfinished third floor. Just for furniture storage right now. The proprietors are trying to decide whether another hotel room is a good investment.

The whole building! It is nice to see the interior details from outside rather than just an empty shell.

The whole city!

Great rennovations to a relatively bland interior of a LEGO set.

Thanks for the compliments! Yes, I did build it myself, unfortunately it comes as an empty shell. I believe since this was the first Modular Building that Lego created they weren't quite sure if they wanted to add interiors for an extra cost. Obviously people started asking for them so now we have them in all the new releases. Make sure you check Bricklink for the sets you are looking for, you may be able to get a good deal on there. I'm willing to bet sometime in the future Lego will re-release the Cafe Corner with an interior (possibly as a 10th anniversary) so if you don't mind waiting you can probably nab one. I'm glad you found inspiration from my creation, good luck with your city!
Quoting Jennifer Landschoot I am not sure how often (if at all) you check this but I wanted to ask if the Cafe Corner is just a shell and you did the interior or if this is the interior that comes with? I don't have this set, and am kicking myself for not having it but I love the interior that you made (if in fact you made it). Huge Lego fan right here! I just got the fire brigade and Grand Emporium. Looking to buy the green grocer but it appears Lego isn't selling it so I have to find it elsewhere and its not cheap. My city is coming along nicely though. Thanks for the inspiration, although I don't think I can see myself spending $699.00 for the Cafe Corner right now, maybe in the future Lego will be nice and bring it back. =)
