An old roadster with a functioning retractable-hardtop.
About this creation
I've always had a fascination of packing features into little LEGO cars (opening doors, two seats across, etc.), which led me to build this. It's a car based off of a typical 1960's roadster. But what's a roadster without a convertible top? So, MOCpages, here ya go ;) This car has a fully-functional folding roof that stores nicely in the rear section. Please review, and thanks for looking!
Here's a multi-stage photo of the roof coming down.
Front angle. The close together headlights and small grille are inspired by some older Porsches.
Side view. The car was origionally going to be a classic VW Beetle, hence the bulging fenders.
Rear view.
Here's a shot of the roof packed into the rear.
Roof up! One of the downsides to this design is that when the roof is up, there's kind of a... gaping hole in the back.
The hood opens, too. Why not? This car's all about features ;)
Pretty cheap engine... I didn't have too much space here to work with here :D
