I REALLY hate to say this but, i am sick of building mechs! so... i built a midi-scale ship :) Anywho, My next project is going to be the steampunk category. I better get to work or the contest will be over XD
About this creation

Front.

Here is the nose of the ship.

The mid-section. This is a huge empty space (not really)that can fit 10,000 medium sized shipping containers or even 10 AT-ATs.

Here you can see both the bridge and the quick unload bay. The quick unload bay is used to... you guessed it, Quickly unload cargo. The containers are put on a conveyer belt system inside the ship. The conveyer carries the containers to the quick unload bay, where they become docked. The docked containers are then grabbed by droids and taken to their destination in the shipping yard.
As soon as the droid takes the container, another container fills the empty space... and so on. This process can take place at a shipping yard or even in space thanks to the force fields that keep the air in the ship.

Now that we've got that lengthy explanation out of the way, let's get on with the tour!
This is the engines. There are six in total. You'll see a better shot of them very soon.
This picture also shows the rear loading hatches. The quick unloading bay is strictly for unloading, so the loading is done via these hatches. The loading process can be done while other cargo is being unloaded in the unloading bay.

Here are the hatches open. As you can see, only air based hauling droids can reach these hatches without the help of a raised platform.

As promised, here is the engines again. Like i said, there is six engines in total. Every engine is necessary to push the incredible weight of the ship and the cargo inside.
Oh, and on a side note. You can see me taking the photo XD O,hai ther!

Now i'll show you another way to load cargo onto the ship.

The front loading hatch folds down to allow ground based container hauling vehicles and droids to board the ship with cargo.

Usually i finish things off with an overhead shot, but today i have a different idea. This is the overhead shot.

And now the underbelly shot! Nothing too special here :)

Pretty sweet freighter here! With a little color tweaking, it could easily be a cylon transport ship. But that's just me... |

Quoting Masked Builder
This reminds me of the pelt Class Frigate from Star Wars. Nice job. One quick question though. How long is it? Masked
It's 18" long. Since i'm in between building mechs, i decided not to go too big with it :) |

Impressive! Nice coloration. The engines and their cowlings are awesome, but my favorite part has to be the bridge, looks great! Peace ~ Packie |

Total awesomeness! I don't know how you find time to build stuff BETWEEN mechs. That's all I have time for. Oh, and speaking of Steampunk, I'll be posting my entry in the next day or 2:) |
