Bloodstone biped assault mecha
I never set out to make a mecha. But my absentmindedness while handling some bricks turned into my first proper mecha. Might as well post it then.
About this creation

This medium armoured mecha is a thing you would not want to encounter anywhere, especially on an opposing faction. A small group of these can capture an entire city and lay waste of its defenders.

The back of the mecha shows its six rocket engines, for dramatically increasing the top running speed. Mid centre is the extra escape hatch for the pilot, so it has two ways of exiting the craft (especially handy if fallen over in any position).

Let's give it a shield and a weapon.

The four-barrel gun spits its rounds at very high speed, while the strong magnetic field around the shield can reflect most bullets or shrapnel.

Two hatches in the chest reveal 24 RPGs. (Oh, you didn't think it was unarmed without the handgun did you?)

And now the piece de resistance: a shoulder mounted minigun to royally, er, lay waste of its opponents.

The Bloodstone in full battle regalia.

A closer view of the minigun and four shoulder-mounted missiles.

The pilot inside the cockpit. His senses are aided by a wide array of sensors and HUD interface.

The Bloodstone with minifig for scale and additional weaponry.

Stats:
- Height: 17m
- Width (shoulders): 6.40m
- Personnel: 1 pilot/gunner
- Max. speed: 30km/h (145km/h with rockets)
- Defense: medium armour; EM shield
- Weapons: 28 RPGs (chest and belly mounted); 4 long range missiles (shoulder mounted); 4-barrel handgun (2740 rounds per minute total); 12-barreled shoulder mounted minigun (10,400 rounds per minute total)
- Price: 56M (USD)
- Available colours: black/red (Blood and Fire edition); white/pink (Helly Kitty edition); dark gray/light gray (Classic edition); lilac/yellow (Colourblind edition)

Excellent color scheme. For some reason, i feel RPGs are the answer to all problems... anyways, the legs could be a little beefed up. All in all, a excellent mech! kudos to you!

Quoting Mithryl Dlarix This is majorly cool, if not a bit top heavy. I love all the details, and the cockpit canopy arrangement is particularly unique. I'm curious to know what the inspiration for this mech was?
Thank you. I am not sure about the inspiration. I believe I had that minigun first, and instead of my usual space ships, I decided to build a mech for it. I didn't use another mech as an example, if that's what you mean. I just started building to see where I'd end up ;)

You posted a mech and I haven't noticed??? Where have I been? (don't answer that.) Well, the least we can say is that the earth will crack much blood the day this one enters the battlefield...it looks like a wirhlwind of doom...

Oh Steef, others have pointed out below, but your absent minded accident is better than a lot of self-proclaimed mech-builder's mechs! The big draw for me is the tasteful and minimal amount of weaponry ;)

Quoting Lee Jones I am loving the weapons design and the colours. The limbs are a bit spindly and the joint design is a bit weak, but the torso is really well done. Beautiful creation overall. Lee.
Yeah, I can see the joints are something that need improving. I'll look into that if I ever do one of these again. Cheers!

Quoting Jay O'Bee Megablock elements (sorry everyone, I had to say it) are not authorized to be displayed on this website. Get rid of 'em.
What are you talking about? Firstly, there's not a single element here that isn't 100% LEGO. I don't even own one megablock or other clone element. And secondly, even if I did use them, who are you to say that it isn't authorized? Would you kindly point me to the rule on this website where it says that? Go bother someone else now.

Quoting Marcus Forsberg I have said it before: no matter what kind of MOC you try out you're always successful. A brilliant and fierce-looking Mech with lots of cool details. Funny, I have been pondering over a Mech myself lately, let's see what happens... Cheers! (Friday-at last!)
You're too kind sir. I'm interested to see what you will come up with.
Quoting Jeff F. (Freela) Are you sure this isn't a WIP? I think it's missing a few much-needed extra weapons on top of the extra weapons on top of the standard ones. :P
