So, right after I had built my Naboo fighter + Podracer crossing, I really felt like doing the next thing...but I was extremely idealess and didn't know what to build at all. Well, I just couldn't waist my last days of holidays with sitting around instead of making something. Then I finally had some thought: Both my parents are artist, why couldn't they draw something for me to build? So they did and here is what came up with.
I hope you like it.
About this creation
The first one is a micro-scale spaceship drawn by my father, a huge hangar floating around in space:
This is the little doodle my father made, which I based this spaceship on. I kinda like that retro-style
My mother drew some kind of oldtimer, she got me with that, I love them! You can see something else filtering through from the other side, that's supposed to be some kind of rocket looking like the empire state building. I went for the car.
Please, don't take the creations too serious or expext revolutionary build, it's just having fun :D
However
I hope you like it!

I absolutely love the oldtimer but I even more like the space ship, I think you're father has done a great job drawing it.

You know, Louis, I often find myself looking at your stuff two or three times each and scarcely ever comment the first time for whatever reason. Anyway, better now than never.
I really like the vintage car--it just looks spectacular. I really want to touch on the ship, though. The doodle looks to conflict itself in the front and back. The shape just doesn't seem to be proportional with the anterior/posterior. All said and done, it looks great, but, from the back of the drawing, it looks as if the crevasse on the bottom should be deeper and wider, but you captured exactly what it looks like from the front: a narrower, shallower crevasse with a thicker hull. Regardless, excellent work on both! |

Quoting That guy in the chiken suit ... you know ?
Hey whats that on top of the drawing of the car's grill ?
Umm, I think it's some kind of sixties chandelier with the word "hallo" ( which means "hello") and my (real) name on :) |

Really nice work on both pieces. Love the color blocking and parts usage on that ship, especially. |

I love that spaceship, as a stand alone engine pod. With two of those on either side of a bulky transport ship, I recon you would have a real beast ubderway. The car is beautiful... |

This is a really cool idea and great looking builds. The cool thing about being an artist (which I am) is that I don't have to draw a design first. i kind of look at Lego as a sculpture medium. |

I'm in a slump too. Parents have no idea though. :( |

Very cool! Gotta try illustrating an idea first rather than blindly putting things together! XD |

Great idea Louis. I'm always asking my parents for ideas also, and you really came up with some quality builds. I'm kinda in a slump now myself too... |
