Blablabion Bomber
Bursting through space wielding power we don't fully understand, making its way in infinity . . .
About this creation

(credit for the background provider)

Another ship added to my collection, this one doesnít have masts, sails or rigging incase you didnít noticed :P
Anyhow, this started with the devellopping of costum hulls for a new pirate ship,
later on I wanted to make a new version of my exploration submarine (or angler fish as some wanted to call it) I thought my old version was a bit blocky...

Anyway as I was designing the new cockpit (with the large black curved bricks) I got the idea of the entrance doors and when I came up with that amazing landing gear system (modest me :p ) my submarine idea got completely lost.

So I ended up builing a spacecraft, this is something I wanted to do for a long time but all of my previous attempt at any larger spacecraft (larger than small fighters) dramatically failed,

Now lets start with a picture of the whole thing...

Resting on its landing gear in the system of Blanketta... now, you might have noticed itís standing upside down, or so it looks, when in space it flies like in the main picture (though it doesnít matter in space actually).
Why ? could be my interpretation of alien spacecraft . . . but the fact that it looked better upside down is more likely :p

Seen from above it's supposed to look like the infinity symbol (math) to illustrate its supernatural characteristics and origin.

I simply called the shipís power source Ďplasmaí (the trans. green)
it is a very energetic fluid that comes from around the core of Tropnalu, a planet in the system of Blablabion. (this information has not been described yet)

As I mentioned already this isnít a human ship, tís a blablabian battleship,
The Blababians have their origin on a small planet pretty similar to Earth.
(those are a Zam Wessel and Manta Warrior's heads, the body is from the Atlantis divers)

Like Earth, water is one of the main components of their planet but very striking is that it is in conditions of triple point on the surface so damp, water and ice excist next to each other, triple point implies that their are constant pressure and temperature conditions

The gunner seat, located under the big turret is one of those things my spaceship absolutely had to have, I think itís cool when in SF movies crewmembers of a spaceship move to their seperate gunner seats.

An additional turret is located inside the thin section of the ship and can be drawn out and rotate (when the ship was finished I had forgotten about it but then I discovered it again :P )

The cockpit is the most detailed section of the ship

As you might notice it actually is partially built upside down, ah, am I not an incredibly skilled builder :P sorry, just so proud of my spacecraft :)
Anyway it was a difficult job to make the ship firmly with the upside down condition.
now, as for the entrance to the cockpit...

this is what makes it look cool, not usual for spacecraft but hey, what do we now about aliens ? I'll tell you, Nothing !

My first idea was to use these doors as retractable weaponsystems, but when my other entrance failed (which would be a hatch underneath) I decided to keep it this way.

Now there is something more about this cockpit that requires attention :o

( when i found out about this possibility I remembered my submarine Idea, it would go well as ďthe frog, or toadĒ :p)

The landing gear worked out well,
Iíve invented an ingenious system with springs to retract the front landing poles

Behind the cockpit (which ends with the gunner seat) thereís no interior, all engine and landig gear (and an extra turret).

the hatches near the thrusters cover part of the landing gear, I used all of my small spring bricks on the front part so I had to come up with a somewhat unusual system for the rear landing poles, less brilliant but looks just as complex.

these hatches hide...more transparant green, I practically used all of my trans. green on this ship.

I like the landig gear a lot though it doesnít really fit for this alien spaceship, mechanical constructions like these are actually typical for the Human race, the Blablabian would rather use an unknown technology to make their ships float on the land.

Anyway, I enjoyed building on this and might do some more stuff like this in the future,
But first of all my series, It has been delayed many times,
I must tell you it won't be an ordinary series, in my series the story is a side issue, most important for me are the creations and decors which will be the strenght of the series, atleast I hope so.
Anyway, I hope to post Chapter one as soon as possible (the prologue is already on)

(btw, you might have noticed this moc is quite 'blablabla', I couldn't find fitting names for alien, spacecraft and star system :p )

Great job on this one. I love the smoothness of the curve on the front, and the color scheme is very well done as well. Great job fitting a lot of detail into not a lot of space. Most impressive. -Drew P.S. If you get the time, could you check out a vignette I made? Thanks! http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/204774

Quoting Alan Crisp I saw this on Research and Design, and I love it the organic, very aquatic creature, shape of the ship. I am not complaining about the solid black - I would only complain about the name which I find so hard to pronounce :^) - but I am curious about it. This would so work in dark blue. And yes, I know dark blue in any part variety and quantity is hard to come by. Just saying. And I also love the dedication to the landing gear and to the difficult structure of the ship.
ah, dark blue... there are a lot of creations I would want to do in dark blue, I'm saving those bricks in a seperate box :)

Wow!!! Snazzy work man! That landing gear is extremely slick, I'm very envious, I've never been good at complex, retractable stuff like that. My favorite part is by far the observation-like deck, the big curved area...It just astounds me..

Quoting Garth Danielson I see the Blablarion's don't dust too well, huh. I guess that's one thing I have in common with them. Nice ship. Lots of good detail in your back story. Hope to see some more down the road. see ya. garth
the dust is caused by erosion of meteorites the ship passes when moving in hyperspace :o
