This is my second attempt to build the beautiful clone ship from episode two, the Acclamator class, republic assault ship.
I was never really satisfied with the look of my old acclamator, so I decided to give it another go. The total amount of bricks used is about 6500-7000 give or take a few.
The build time was about a year and that includes planning, designing, building and rebuilding things that wouldn’t work, and waiting for bricklink orders lol.
This time I built it in UCS style, I wanted it to look realistic with loads of greebles which isn't just placed at random. I used several high-rez pictures for reference including the episode 2 incredible cross-section, so it is as accurate as lego will allow in that scale.
Besides making it bigger and wider than before I also added new things such as extendable boarding ramps, landing gear or pads which can be removed and engines with light-up features.
Remember to rate and comment, I would like to know what you think.

I love this ship!!! It's awsome!!! acclamators are some of my favorite capital ships.
P.S. can I borrow your back fin design for the one that I am creating? I really like it as I have tried several other ones that don't work.
You can try but it's quite complex and there is a lot of hidden functions that you cant see in the photos. |

Nice build, lots of detail. Also the fact that it seems to be "floating" is fantastic, as it's build in ballance. I wonder if the "feet" have any stabilising function. Anyhow it makes the whole thing look great. Build in light blue gray? Keep on building.
Oh yes the front landing pad prevents the ship from tipping over. Since it is front heavy it was necessary to attach that one permanently. However even without front support, it won't brake apart because I made sure to strengthen the inner structure A LOT(Not with glue, only lego bricks), so that it can be carried around to different display shelves.
It was built with mostly light blue gray bricks except for a few hundred old gray bricks that I had around. |

Now this is how a spaceship is made. I really enjoyed the unique engine design and all the wor you must have put into this. I'm still not sure if I like the texture (too many studs) on the hood. It might have been better with some SNOT as the tail of the ship. Regardless, this is stunning. -Dylan
I did think about making it SNOT, but because of the wedge plates design overlapping like that to get the correct acclamator shape/angle, adding an exstra layer of plating would make the hull too thick. And also, tiles are quite expensive. In the reference pictures the ship isn't really smoooth, theres bumps and studs all over the ship to give it that gritty manufactured look. |
