Battlestar Galactica Colonial Viper MkV prototype

This is a version of a viperesque starfighter. Inspiration taken from many places but prompted by the nose of Tiberius Black's MkII.
About this creation


I wanted to add a little more detail to the instruments and cockpit in general. By mounting the main instrument panel on its side it created a more realistic (well... for Lego) layout, which allowed me mount the control stick to what would have been the top. I also wanted to create a seat that reflected the seats in the show, just didn't have the parts in brown.. Oh well watcha gonna do?



I added a slightly more agresssive curve to the wings than the original MkII's and VII's, making this version look more predatorial.



By using the same techniques as the x-wing I was able to create a more angled nose.



Back end is a mixture of my MkII and VII.



The landing gear folds away up into the nose similar to the x-wing, and the rear landing gear works similarly to the jedi starfighters of anakin and ahsoka with some small modifications.

This MOC is very swooshable and my 6 year old wont let me near it..... I have to use my MkII. Oh well.

Thanks again to Tiberius black for the inspiration. This guy makes some great MOC's.. Should check them out.
