About this creation
Coming straight from the suburban scene, the up and coming metal band, Crown of Thorns!
Crown of Thorns is a (fictional) heavy metal group inspired in part by Slipknot's use of masks and the metal bands at my high school, Trancit and Vengence.
There's a small venue in my town right next to the bar and Chinese restaurant that always does shows for the local underground scenes. Stay away from there on Indie Night, but some great moshing and rocking is always assured on Metal Night.
The Band: Matt Stigman on the vocals. His hoarse growls have brought life to the songs 'Disembowler' and 'Unholy Allegiance' . Just wait until you hear him on the accoustic album!
The trio's axeman, Tommy Harrison, shreds away on his Gibson SG. True headbangers are hard to find, the best place to see them en masse is at the shows. You can tell they are true if they like Municipal Waste, Nuclear Assault, Dissection, Skeletonwitch, Sacred Reich, Finntroll, Obituary etc. Don't be a poser!
In the boiler room: Rough, buff and snorting white stuff, the drummer Phil Gordon. His unique style and manic tempo shifts play a big part in the band's stage show.
The crowd. Too bad lego doesn't make any mohawks, those would be perfect for this audience. CIRCLE PIT!!

Some of the crowds. Includes casual rock dude, goth chick [good goth babes are few and far between at my high school :( ] and that one really creepy guy you see at metal concerts wearing the chains and a mask. Custom hair is by Arealight, and the gas mask is from Hazel.

August Burns Red is 10x more metal than these Figs. Yeah ABR May look like a few normal dudes, But pluged in, they are ungodly beasts. + they are christians!!
Except not, cause ABR is metalcore. No one in their right mind listens to metalcore. Also metal is not good unless the band worships Satan, Christian metal is like rock & roll without a 4/4 beat. It just doesn't work.Try something like Dark Funeral, Metal Church or Dissection if you want real metal. |
