About this creation
My name is Adam Joseph, I am resistance fighter or in other words; one of the few humans who are still alive who don’t fear death. The Zarbian’s invaded in 3014 its 3020 now. For six years we have fought these vicious foes with no prevailing luck. My red-headed squad leader Lukas has a new mission for us though, a mission that could crush the Zarbian’s in their path of destruction. Going to their home planet…
Lukas and I sat in a dark and damp room; it was cold and stunk of sewage and excrement.
“Roger that.” Nodded Lukas holding his headset and nodding “Alright Adam, we move out in 15 minutes.”
“What is their home planet anyways.” I asked while readying my EZ11-AR assault rifle
“It’s like Xoiv I think,” said Lukas shaking his head
“Sounds kind of stupid,” I said pausing from cleaning my rifle “You know? Sounds like something from a cheesy horror movie.”
Lukas scoffed “Yeah I guess when you think of it like that, this whole thing is a crappy horror movie.”
We both started laughing, it felt good to laugh.
“J-squad to the main hangar, repeat J-squad to the main hangar.” Blared the colonel over the intercom
“He wasn’t supposed to use the intercom.” Said Lukas annoyed “Anyways we best get going to the hangar.”
We walked through the various corridors and halls of the base and finally emerged into the hangar.
“Welcome!” said the colonel warmly
“Thanks.” Said Lukas nodding I nodded as well
“Operation Vigil is going to be a risky one indeed,” said the colonel now serious “but I have great trust in you two to get the job done right.”
“Yes sir, you can have great trust in me and Adam.” Said Lukas looking back at me
The colonel clasped his hands together “Excellent!”
The ride to Xoiv was stuffy and bumpy, who knew intergalactic space travel would have so much turbulence.
Once we landed on Xoiv we were immediately aware of the harsh environments and what awful things they were going to do to our lungs in the long run.
“Good thing we brought these gas masks.” Said Lukas strapping the gas mask around the lower half of his head, I did the same
“Yeah it sure is.” I exclaimed through my gas mask
We proceeded onto the outskirts of a city; I saw no homes just a couple hundred tall spires. I was in awe that such a violent race could create such magnificent architecture. I noticed how polluted their planet was; thick layers of smog hung tightly on the skyline.
I was glad to be wearing my gas mask. We continued towards the city; not much else was there except for the “downtown” area just barren wasteland.
“I don’t see how anyone could live in such an un-hospitable environment.” Said Lukas looking around in curiosity
“Yeah,” I nodded “Maybe they’re invading earth to get a better more inhabitable planet.”
“Destroying earth won’t help in the long run if that is their plan.” Shrugged Lukas
“Maybe that’s what they did to this planet,” I said mesmerised by the buildings “Killed off the original inhabitants and claimed this planet for themselves.
“That’s exactly what we did.” Snickered a Zarbian
