The Mighty Writer's Block + Mysterion Object #36
About this creation
Dedicated to the fabulous, stupendous, and sometimes even frivolous Leda Kat. This one's all for you.

*snicker* "I wouldn't be impressed by those deadbeats either, even if Mister Bones can't help it. Heath would have showed even if he didn't know where they were, he manages to appear uninvited anywhere there's a good booze-up going on."

"Okay, what else can I do to butter her up- er, get her attention. That's it, I'll create some simple MOC and direct all of the viewers to the Roller Disco. Yeah, that should do it. Argh, I don't have time to waste on small stuff, I've got to work on those stupid MOC's that I've left gathering dust since last year! Okay, fine, I'll go work on those."

Far away, unbeknownst to our man, a mysterious alien ship was rushing through space on an unknown agenda. Attracted by Jeff's brainwaves, began homing in on the creative genius that flowed from him, with the potential to make not one, but several brilliant MOCs, one of which was a long-planned MOCery of that uppity Kelso.

High above the Earth's orbit, the unobserved ship released its payload that it had traveled so far to dispense. It sailed through the atmosphere, plummeting straight for Jeff's house. Never wavering from its downward course, it struck the roof of the building and continued its descent until it came to rest upon the floor behind the MOCer along with liberal amounts of wood and plaster.

Jeff had been in the middle of an inspired brainstorm when the object struck and gave him no little shock, but after a few seconds of valiantly resisting the urge to turn around and look at what had caused the tremendous noise, he returned his attentions to the story in front of him.

Sensing the return of these intense thought processes, the strange cube lit up with activity and the band around it began to glow brightly. Jeff's formidable mind came abruptly up against a wall that seemed to block off all creative thoughts from his consciousness and wrap them in a impenetrable fog which no mental efforts of his could penetrate.

"That's it! I can't think! I'm just going to look at a few more MOCs- for inspirational purposes, of course, and go to bed... Hey, this is neat, I hope Leda gets over her stuck-ness, I don't think I could tolerate not being able to build. How unfortunate.

Well, I'm off to bed, I guess, there's nothing more I can do tonigh- Wait a minute!"

"...Yeah, and I'll put a pink Mysterion in it, I bet that's never been done before! I really don't know how I happen to come up with this sort of mad brilliance..."

And thus this MOC was born.

I'd been inactive for a while, mostly trying to work on my two large MOCs I have planned, but each and every time my mind goes blank, and I can't seem to get out of it. That's when all sorts of smaller ideas began popping into my head at random. Most of the time I don't plan ahead, but let the natural progression of my thoughts become the finished result, so even I don't know what will happen next when the mood strikes me.

In this instance, I was going through Leda Kat's creations and commenting on them, when all of a sudden she started commenting on mine while I was on, so we spent a few minutes in friendly conversation and mutual admiration, when I noticed her "Stuck" series and was suddenly inspired. I decided to do a Stuck MOC of my own, something small that would only take a few minutes and give me a way to demonstrate my appreciation. This led me to a memory of a short paragraph my sister had written a while back, ranting about the evils of writer's block in which it was represented as a gigantic cube. Thinking along those lines, I thought, "Why not a literal cube made out of Lego?" which brings to mind those brilliant little (and sometimes not so little) Mysterions that Shannon Ocean and Yuri Fassio created. Oh, and so this Mysterion doesn't go unreported to the proper authorities, it is Mysterion Object #36.

Hey, as long as you're here, would you mind going to this creation of Leda's and rating it?

Really nice! I like the computer office... place... thing. And the space backdrop behind the ship. The purple behind it goes with the purplish colors on the ship. Good job!

Quoting Flare . This is actually getting scary, I think that Leda is going to get so much attention that she will take over MOCpages XD ROTFL
And why not? I believe that it was her stated intention to take over. (See Leda Wars series for proof.) But yes, it is rather startling how she appeared only a few months ago, and is now a much adored figure of MOCpages. The Kiwis are taking over!

Quoting Yuri the Decidedly Distractible I was working on a Spastle MOC, then I got sidetracked and started building my Bionicle Self-MOC, but before I was finished I was distracted againg and started building a small beast, then I made other 5 of them. And a Bionicle titan.
So then if there's something you need to get done, focus on something else, and you won't be able to keep yourself away from what you're supposed to be ignoring! :D
Quoting Delatron some of your best bits are the minifig scale representations of real objects, like the PC, desk and storage boxes
Thanks. I really love trying to create everyday items and furniture out of Lego, and it's never easy. Right now I've got over seven different rooms and each one needs different furniture. It's actually the hardest part!

hahaha! You're not alone, friend. I was working on a Spastle MOC, then I got sidetracked and started building my Bionicle Self-MOC, but before I was finished I was distracted againg and started building a small beast, then I made other 5 of them. And a Bionicle titan. LOL!

Nice stuff, love the alien craft, but as I've seen on your past MOCs some of your best bits are the minifig scale representations of real objects, like the PC, desk and storage boxes - very cool. Glad you are over your block!

Quoting Hans Dendauw Ok, I like Leda as much as the next guy, but MAN, are you laying it on thick!
You bet I am, buster! In all seriousness, it's just my way of expressing appreciation. I'd do the same for any good-lookin' FFOL that says she likes me! :P (Okay, so perhaps I'm incapable of gravity here; I'm always having to say something crazy. Perhaps there's another "Mind-sterion" hiding somewhere in here.)

Ok, I like Leda as much as the next guy, but MAN, are you laying it on thick! LOL I need hip-waders to get through this MOC! LMAO The Mysterion is great and I love how you dropped it through the roof. As for pink, it's only a matter of time before I buy one of those buckets.~H

Quoting Leda Kat I can't wait for your long planned MOCery. I'm loving that towel! ... LOVE the tiny computer with all my images on the screen! It made me cackle wickedly.
I am working on it this very moment, people's interest often helps me to focus. And I'm glad you liked the computer screen, it was fun to edit the actual pages in.
Quoting Christian Schlichting The object's design is very good, and it was time for new colourschemes.
Again, I can't help myself when it comes to the pink bricks, and this is certainly the first pink Mysterion. In fact, almost anything pink on these pages will be a first. Actually, the pink, black, and trans-neon green are quite sweet together, perhaps more people will begin to see pink as a great color that has so many uses.

Hahaha! This is gold! LOVE the tiny computer with all my images on the screen! It made me cackle wickedly... pleased you liked the 'stuck' mocs. It was A Warrior of Cerinia who gave me the first idea after I did the Nutty Professer. Thats why this lego community is so great, everybody feeding off each other and giving ideas! The last 'stuck' I asked for requests of what to build next and people have given me sooooo much inspiration its fantastic! Its great to see that when you've got a block, (literaly) you can still build something awesome and creative! Mark of a true artist :)

The object's design is very good. And it was time for new colourshemes. My Mysterions seem to have the same colours all the time becaus ei haven't many... And the story gives it a nice addition. A mind'sterion

Very nice! First off, I am very glad to see Leda getting the attention she deserves. I have been a fan of her work since she joined and you are correct, she is a great person. As for your build here, very nice stuff, good sets and a nice touch adding the actual screen shots to the mini computer. Cheers.

Nice, I've had a lot of unfinished mocs that never made it to the pages, sometimes I just can't finish them
