So, here it is...finally my 50th MOC. I wanted to try something else, something bigger than usually. This freighter is about 42 cm long and thus my biggest creation ever (yeah, I know, not that big). I also kept in classic space, better "Neo Classic Space", look, mainly because blue is one of the colors I have to most. By the way this is my entry to Moddswim's coolness contest. Well, enjoy the pictures, I hope you like it.
About this creation
Facts about the Heavy-Class Freighter:
- measuring 1,7 km it's one of the biggest transporters ever used in galaxy
- due to that fact and the high costs only a few were actually produced and used
- the huge container, which can be taken off is able to carry more than 300m3 of cargo and needs its own auxiliary engine
- the ship has no weapons, no laser, cannons and so on, but yet big shields and armor to avoid space pirat attacks
- there are two hangars on each site of the back part, that can take up smaller ships, so the freighter can also be used for ordinary passengers

Some front shots focusing on the giant container

back view, I'm actually pretty happy how it came out.

The container's auxiliary engines to transport its heavy mass easier.

Greebles!

One of the two hangars (note the yellow arrow marking).

A smaller spaceship entering the freighter.

The container can be opened, which is not supposed to be part of a "real" freighter feature, it's only to separate it from the rest.

So here is what it looks like without the container.

The conatiner itself.

At last a under construction pic (the blurred area is an unposted MOC).

I hope you like it!

It's pretty cool, I like it a lot. I like the concept of massive shipping across the galaxy however, your maths need some working on, a 3t small truck on earht can load 25 cubic meters, so 300 cubic meters would take such a large ship to carry, I think here you would think in cargo about a 1000 times larger, into the cubic kilometers

Oh sweet. Besides the interesting building and attractive ship, it very effectively conveys a "cargo" feel.

Very cool freighter. I like the design, but I just think that it should carry a more modular cargo container that would fit with other ships as well. Anyways, Great build and I love the colors

How did i miss this one? If you look up "coolness" in the dictionary, you'll see a picture of this ship beside the definition. It is THAT cool! :) Excellent work!

Quoting Jøsh ! Wunderbar, ich liebe das Neo Classic Space Thema ja. Die Techniken sehen echt meisterhaft aus! Wo hast du diese ganzen blauen Steine her?

Thats an intense MOC, very nice, i love how you use a specific design in most of your MOC's. What does it mainly haul? Gold? Steel? Coal? Or something more sinister like zombies? :)
