Barad Dur Tower
Sauron's fortress from LOTR
About this creation
Having completed two mega projects, i had to build another one that would challenge both my imaginations and my computer speed. Thus i present to you the Barad Dur tower from LOTR... xD..

this creation was initially build with black bricks, but due to the lack of details from all the shadows created, i had no choice but to edit the colour to bring out the details of the building. hence the bluish hue to the building, so pardon that detail.

comprising of 153,800 pcs, this was built to be bigger than the rest of the other 2 mega creations i have built. however, this could be the last mega project i may embark on, as it has caused my computer to crash several times... so without any further ado, i present to you the Barad Dur tower!.. Enjoy!.. xD

excellent work, I did like the films and this captures the look of the place perfectly. However it needs a few different coloured pieces here and there to signify windows perhaps.

Thanks!... Didn't really like the movie, only the wars scenes, but my bro insisted on building it.. Took me about 6 days to build it, without any plans... pretty reckless... xD..

Quoting Mr. Inkognito Amazing! But I think some more colors would be nice to highight several parts of the tower. With just one color the details are hard to see, especially because a single brick can not be detected because of the large size. Do you generate your MOCs or do you really build them? ;-)
Thanks for your comment and suggestion... i do agree that a unicolour body does elude the fine details of the building, making it hard to see. however, this was the best we could do, as LDD had a limited amount of parts in the colour that we required. hence it was uniclour. additionally, the actual building was blackish-grey, so we were just following that colour scheme.. xD.. we actually build the moc on LDD and not with real bricks, as it is pretty hard to get them in Singapore.... umm.. i'm not too sure by what you mean "generate your mocs', but we do actually build it stud by stud... xD... Cheers
