USS West Virginia, a Colorado Class Battleship. As she appeared at Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941 when she was attacked and sunk. She was raised and refitted at Puget Sound Naval shipyard Washington, and rejoined the US Pacific Fleet in 1944. The lego ship is 8 feet long, and weighs about 200 lbs. She was built from the keel up with frames, she is not solid. The lego West Virgina has been on display at the US Naval recruiting center in Fort Collins, Colorado, the local library, and at the Main Street Market in Wellington for the anniversary of Pearl Harbor. She was also featured in the local paper, and on Denver Channel 7 for the same event.
From the distance it looks good ... and not so good ... Can I see more pictures? close ups? :-)
Until I can see more, its 3/5. Hope to see the rest of it soon.
Now I know how you are building ships and without the remaining (missing) pictures I raise to 5/5 :-)
I like it

She's magnificent, Joe! Nice to see someone doing a sculpture in commemoration of PHDay. We did a small "carry around" Arizona two Decembers ago...but nothing like this!! Truly a beauty...VERY well done
