I decided to try my hand at a hardsuit today, and after 1-2hrs work, I was very pleased with the result. Obvious inspiration is the Starcraft 2 marine. Also a bit of Warhammer.
About this creation
The Infantry Powered Armor Suit mark 15 is the latest is battle armor technology. The user it fitted into/out of suit by a specialized machine, the suiting up process is relativity short when compared to the exiting of the suit. Most suits come with fused shields and heavy assault cannons, however, some have adaptable functions. Do to the level armor protection, the iPAS-15 is impervious to most ballistic and optical infantry fire, however concentrated explosive bombardment can destroy the suits with minimal difficulty.
Nothing like a good power suit to build your confidence:

Thanks guys, and the only parts of a minifig in the armor are: the head, 2 legs(that are used as part of the legs) and 2 hands, to hold the legs on. |

I am usually not happy with the minifig MOCs but here it is hard to see the minifig :-)
