About this creation


I learned several new techniques while animating this. Primarily blue-screening and lip-syncing. I think everything turned out pretty good. In terms of creations I made a bunch of new ones for this. I'm very proud of my tiger birds and acid rain pictured above.



This Bionicle dude was fun to animate with. A lot more expressive than minifigs.



This episode finally forced me to decide what Figuria looked liked. I've known the names of the continents for a while. Top middle is East Venturica - a land of deserts and snow and mountains - would be home to Adventurers (Egypt and Orient), Wild West, and Artic Exploration. Top right is West Venturica - full of jungles and forests and ruled by animals - would be home to Adventurers (Dino and Amazon), Fabuland, Creator (Creatures). Bottom left is Castlantis - a land of castles and magical forests and other fantastic things - would be home to Castle and Viking - the two islands to the east are splinter groups, one is home to Ninjas and the other to Dragons. In the center is a collection of islands known as the Pirate Archipelago - a land of tropical islands inhabited by Pirates. And finally in the bottom right is Opolitopia - a land dotted with cities and town and villages, would be home to Town, Paradisa, Agents, Divers etc. The Gold Dot is New Block City. Under the sea is Aquatica - would be home to Atlantis and Aquazone. Above Figuria is Space - an infinite expanse of possibility dotted with planets and stars and danger.



I had a lot of fun creating these "vacation slides" for Phil and Sherry. I'd love to create a whole idea book in this style. Some day...
