Saren's flagship from Mass Effect
About this creation
Nowhere near good as my SR2, but still, a moc is a moc (or lobster, squid, or cuttlefish in this case).
The most impressive thing about this model is not that it does actually look vaguely like Sovereign, but that the only dark blue elements I had were perfect for the shape.
It was very tempting to name this Moc 'ATTACK of the GIANT SPACE SQUID!', but I resisted the urge, but I will make retro-horror movie poster bearing that motif through the magic of photoshop.
This Moc was entirely inspired by a member of the Mass Effect online community who gave me the idea for the size, I hope that he's happy (although it doesn't light up - this is LEGO, not Fisher Price!). I would have liked to add light elements however, but the size, internal framework and lack of parts all hampered that.
Hey... I do believe that this is the first one on MOCpages, prehaps even the internet!
Although I modified Sovereign shortly after the images above were taken, I never got round to re-photographing (as with the SR2! those with sharp eyes may spot the changes in the 'Turian Jaws', the waist-mounted mass accelerators some dorsal surface changes and re-placement of the lettering on either side). Here's the only shot I have right now, showing the 4 red lights/eyes/guns at the limb joints. There's also YMIR mech from ME2 visible just behind sovereign (again, other pics not posted).

You should make a MOC with this ship. Combine the new Architecture sets and you are done, only that the ship needs to be up to scale. |

First, I'd like to say that i've been looking at all of your Mass Effect MOCs, and I must say, you are a builder of some talent. Second, I have noticed you have been making some Lego Digital Designer models of some of your MOCs, and I was wondering if you had an LDD file for Sovereign. Keep up the Good Work! |

Supreme!!! This is definitely awesome. The shape is perfect and the color is nearly acurate (Sovereign is a very dark red, almost black, but this color doesn't exist in Lego so it's ok). The tentacles are awesomely built. Congratulations!
PS: Yes, I'm Mass Effect addicted. Building a Geth Prime is my goal |
