Quoting clayton Marchetti Awesome! Love all those nooks and crannies! When are you going to build one in 1/1 scale :-) you would make bricklink and Lego happy
Wouldn't THAT be a fun project!?! I suppose I'll leave it to Garry King to get the closest. There was a Firefly at Brickworld, and that was something like 6 feet long. A minifig Battlestar would be the size of a typical ranch house. Thanks for the comment, Chief!

Wow... that's massive and very well built! The only thing, (Don't worry it's only a very small thing!) is that the starboard flight pod needs a sort of netting in the entrance and exit because it's unused in the series. But it doesn't really matter, good job!

Thanks, Oliver! In the Next Chapter Series, they rebuild the starboard flight pod to the original specs. Check it out! http://www.mocpages.com/folder.php/112962

Quoting Jay Rhum This ship is really awesome! How long is it? How much does it weigh?
Thanks, Dude! It weighs in at about 24 lbs, 140 studs long, 56 or so wide at the flight pods. I used to have it in three hull sections, but now it's all one structure, except the pods are removable for storage.

Quoting Yorik Bruhl This is so epic. But did you spend more time photoshopping them into space than building the ship or what? haha. Naw, it's worth it.
It took me, on or about, a year to build the thing. Using Gimp is easy enough, I'm quicker at it now, maybe 15 minutes a picture, depending...Thanks for the comment!

Quoting W Mark I love how the studs are left exposed to give texture... studlessness is nice, but real skill exists in knowing when to use it and when not to.
Thanks for the kind words! I think it also highlights the areas of armor plating that are studless. Plus it saved me a lot of $$$$!

Quoting Jim Wright How many updates of this thing do u have?? LOL yo dude, add me as a favorite builder, then go to my homepage, and check the new logo i made for my homepage, SEALS Industries. It's really cool.
Well, I have four sets of pictures. One set with the Orion Nebula, one set with that red nebula, one over Kobol, and another orbiting New Caprica. Why so many? you ask. Clearly I have a problem. When I first finished it, I took some pictures on the floor in my basement. Not satisfied, I then set up a red background and did another shoot. Not much action there, so I started sniffing around and discovered Gimp and did some backgrounds. After I fooled around with that for a while, I decided I didn't want any non-backgrounded pics, and re-organized them all by color. Perfectly logical for an insane person. Funny, though that the one over New Caprica has only gotten two smilies. They're probably some of my favorite pictures. See you over at your site, off to see this logo you've been working on.

Quoting christian boaz wow did you build that ship? Dang!
Yes, yes I did. It was kind of like Richard Dreyfuss building a mountain out of mashed potatoes in Close Encounters, I would ask myself- Why am I doing this? But I was pretty psyched when I was done. Thanks!

Quoting Mark Kelso Nice! I particularly like the main pic. If I might be so bold as to offer a suggestion or two...try keeping in mind the direction of the light in any background objects, and attempt to match that with your MOC. Also the color of light can differ considerably, so try getting your MOCs the same color cast (for example: the second image has a lot of cool blues in the background, white light on the Basestar, while the Battlestar is more of a warm red...adjust the color cast to where they're all the same, and you'll find they fit together in an image beautifully). Anyway, some really great creations, and a wonderful way to present them!
Thank you for the kind words and the artistic insight! I know what you mean, especially about the lighting. That's why I'm glad I saved some of my old darker photos. As I kept fooling around with the program I noticed those color problems. Lot's to learn! Advice is welcome anytime--Thanks again!
