I thought I'd take a break from Chibis and build something mini-fig scale. This isn't a "real" walker. It's my idea of something built between the AT-ST and the AT-AT. The Empire needed a smaller walker that was able to transport troops. They designed the A.T.T.T. All Terrain Troop Transport. It's more heavily armored and armed than it's cousin. Please RATE and COMMENT:)

A very good way to transport 4 stormtroopers safely to the battlefield.
The details are incredible, the legs, hatches, weapons...
A good partner for my AT-AT!!!!! |

What Spaztastic the Diabolical, Josh B., and Daniel Hauck said were spot on, MOODSWIM. However, to further comment on what Spaztastic the Diabolical said, maybe you should also give it a full 360 degree radius as well as the ability to shoot at a 90 degree angle, too, you know, the gun turret that he was talking about to you? Oh, and another thing, a rear turret that kind of operates like the Republic Gunships might not be a bad idea for the back of this vehicle, too. Other than that, it does feel very much like a true Star Wars type vehicle. |

Looks a little Chibi indeed! However nice idea, I really like that you combined different design elements, such as the AT-AT feet. The greebles on the top...could be more I think. All in all good job! |

Nice job! I really like those legs. But what if instead of a back panel, you had the two side panels lower. Wouldn't that make getting out faster and easier? Anyways interesting design :)

Wow. The details are awe inspiring. The originality is excellent. If I were to add ideas (which may not be good, haven't really thought it through) I would suggest side gun ports. Since it isn't as tall as an AT-AT but probably just as slow, it won't have the forward facing range to clear away threats before they get too close. Side facing gun ports for the troops being carried might mitigate the vulnerability. I would also think a rear facing gun mounted beneath the walker would serve to cover the rear.
I was thinking a third leg might be cool, but since it's not launching extremely large projectiles, it probably wouldn't be necessary or even desirable.
I'm having trouble imagining graceful movement of the legs since there are no knee joints -- only ankle joints. If the legs were to slide forward and back along the main chassis, that would perform much of the same function of knee joints but without the added weight shifting functionality. Once again, a shifting ballast system my provide the one-legged balance needed and would essentially be invisible (and this less vulnerable) to attack resulting in destabilization of the craft.
Thanks for all the suggestions! It actually does have knee joints. If you look at the main pic, the walker is in striding motion. I thought about side cannons, but I didn't want this to look too much like the official walkers. |
