When the newest recruits reached the training camp I had secondary command of Fox Company. With the invasion of Europe on the horizon there is little time left to prepare these fresh soldiers for combat.
About this creation
During the longest months of their lives they train to be the best of the best division in the world crawling through barbed wire under machine gun fire Training on over sized zip lines that prepare us for the real jump
Trained on all weapons both domestic
SSgt. Ronalds: Pull the charging lever back like this aim down the sights and fire...
SSgt. Ronalds: The MP-40 weighs about 10 pounds and it has a high rate of fire. It is equipped to both infantry regulars, officers, and armored infantry units Lt. Harland: Stand up!
Sgt. Shane Peterson: Five okay!
Pvt Thomas "Leatherneck" Boyd: Four okay!
Pfc. Tom R.: Three okay!
Pvt. Noah Nieman: Two okay!
Cpl. Matt Shack: One okay!
The door opens and the final test begins.
Lt. Harland: Go! Go! Go!
And as each of us leaps out a few reflect on how stupid it is to throw themselves out of a perfectly good plane. And that night the men of Fox Company celebrate their success as true paratroopers.
Great! You pretty much covered everything they went over in training. I was wondering, I posted in the Screaming Eagles group sometime after the first one came out wondering if I could be a late joiner. Theres been no activity in that group for a while, so I was wondering if you could check out my two posts (in "Befor the war..." and "Who will be ok..." and decide if I could join. =)
