Hub.ZX Spec3
The ultimate Spec3 iteration of Hub.ZX that makes Hub finally a true blue "Super robot"
About this creation
Gone are the days of a humble robot built simply because the builders could and solely to help with mundane tasks. In a very "megaman" turn of events, Hub.ZX has been transformed into a fierce warrior capable of potentially rivaling the best of the best.

Creator's Notes
There is an actual storyline explaining the origin of the Spec3 and its nifty new upgrades, however such story is much too big for a single MOCpage. Eventually, all will be explained in an upcoming project but until then, savor the mystery ;)

Side view. Hub's new armor can be polarized, increasing its durability by a factor of 10.

Hub's slightly altered backside. Hub's Q-Burst power system was replaced with a crystalline power source that derives its energy from the vitality of life itself. This new power source is essentially infinite, which is really useful when you're a super robot.

Close up of the arm. The armor's a tad bulkier.

Torso shot. Hub's head still remains the same. The cockpit has been altered a little yet again. Also, the shoulder armor's top bits are a bit shorter which, aside from making the armor look better, also adds to the arms' mobility (although they're still quite limited in some ways)

The cockpit open. The cockpit looks much better now and more like a cockpit.

Hub's EM Double Driver Mark II. It can fire both a laser and explosive bolts without need for swapping out parts. This iteration is designed for the right arm, so Hub can dual-wield with another oft-used weapon.

Another view of the EM Double Driver Mark II, disconnected from Hub's arm.

Hub equipped with the Gravity Driver

Due to how the driver is connected to Hub's arm, the forearm has to be removed. The forearm has thrusters that allow it to maneuver itself into magnetic lock with the back of the upper arm. Both arms of capable of this, and Hub can use the Gravity Driver ambidextrously.

Hub's fancy left shoulder pauldron that stores Hub's fancy new E-Mag Knife (Electro-Magnetic Knife). The E-Mag Knife uses an electromagnetic field to contain and shape a blade of super-hot plasma. While it is essentially a lightsaber knife, it can't cut
through anything and everything. Furthermore, it runs off an internal battery that
lasts for only about a minute, requiring the knife be sheathed to recharge when not in use.

Creator's Note
This isn't an alt pauldron that replaces the regular one. Due to lack of parts, I just modify the regular one whenever I want Hub to carry the knife.

Hub with the E-Mag Knife unsheathed. Despite its utility, the knife is actually rarely used thanks to its operational limit.

The E-Mag Knife and its blade.

How the modified pauldron works.

Sorry for the bad focus. Remind me to fire the camera man. This is a shot of one of Hub's "Knee Blazers" (the bits below the blue and white slope pieces). The Knee Blazer emits a powerful electric shockwave on impact when Hub knees/shin-kicks an opponent. This device has yet to actually be used in battle however, so its actual effectiveness is debatable. Anybody want to volunteer to be the test dummy?

Full assault mode! Hub should not be taken lightly!

Hub with some of its armor stripped off. Hub has lots of armor pieces but they're designed to come off in chunks which makes removing and replacing the armor much easier

Hub with a drill for its right arm. This isn't "canon" to Hub's actual specs. I just like equipping Hub with my Rock Raiders drill and posing it like Gurren-Lagann :P

Not Pictured
Buster Fist - Hub can spin either fist rapidly, adding centrifugal force to its punches.

Buster Magnum - An abuse of a side effect of how Hub interfaces with the Gravity Driver. Hub can launch either fist like a rocket. Firing a Buster Fist produces a very "Broken Magnum"-like effect but unlike the typical rocket fist, neither fist is guaranteed to return after being fired.

Hey, what's this doing here? Teaser shot of my second mecha ;P

Quoting Mike Johnson It definitely has that anime mecha feel to it. A well built machine all around. So I guess the next logical question what comes next?
What comes next? More MAS units! :D In fact, I'm about 2/3 the way done with another one right now

Quoting Sean White Dude this thing is heffalumpicus! its awesome and it makes me jealous that you can build a decent sized mech and make it look good!
Thanks! And hey, Rome wasn't built in a day and neither was Hub. It took 4 versions and however many months to "perfect" Hub and make it look good.

I will humbly recommend you to remove the stickers. I did it in my Crusader Class R&WM and worked pretty well. The entire mech have only one sticker, and in the back. The clean pieces give it a more continuous shape and color, and would improve the color scheme of the great HUB.

Quoting Luiz Fernando Camargo Great!!! Cool mech and stuff. The only thing I would change is the color distribution.. but who cares? This thing rocks!
Thanks! Yeah, I wasn't really completely satisfied with the color scheme myself but I decided to stick with it otherwise I'd never be "finished" with it.
Quoting Jason Dominguez This is fantastic. I love the design for it. My Katana vote to be the test dummy. Also, my units also use a bio-crystal system that amplifies electricity that flows through it. Check it out.
I wonder if Hub *could* actually beat a Katana? mmm... nah, that Missile Maniac will still win every time :P Also, crystals are the power source of the future!
