Lightning McQueen
Rookie-Of-The-Year in the Piston Cup.
About this creation
Last weekend, our family went to the theater to see Pixar's new film "Cars." After seeing the film, I decided to make a LEGO version of the film's main character, Lightning McQueen.

I had a lot of fun over the past four days putting this model together in my spare time. My children have also enjoyed seeing the character come together.

I decided to build a "Mini-McQueen" just for fun yesterday. I have included images of it at the bottom of the page.

Thanks for all the comments on the original model.

Corporate logo for McQueen's sponsor, "Rust-eze Medicated Bumper Ointment" is visible in this head-shot.

Additional sponsor's decals are located just behind the front wheel.

It's quite well built according to the details on the car itself but the reason i gave you a four instead of five because the head looks a bit too steep the details are sort of blocky (no effect to score due to nature of legos). Keep up the good work.

Wow, that's incredible. The movie just recently came out and you had the skill to make such a fine creation in so short a time span. Cars is a fantastic movie and if anyone hasn't seen it yet, I suggest they leave the computer, go see the movie, return online, and rate this stunning MOC. Ka-chow!
