Plymouth Roadrunner 1970 W.I.P. (1/10 scale)
About this creation
This is my latest project: A Plymouth Roadrunner 1970.

It is still under construction. I finished the body, exept maybe for de roofline at the back, maybe I'll change that. The dashboard is also finished but the rest off the interior still needs a lot of work! The seats are also done but the are not yet fixed in the car. The steering wheel is allready connected and works.

It will have a working V8 engine (for the pictures it's still lose in the car).

I think the back is looking realy good and livelike aswell as the front. The back is already finished including the trunk.

Later I'm going to fix the engine and engine bay and the interior. And maybe the roofline at the back, I'm still not sure about it.

It's about 68 studs long and 24 studs wide.

Please comment and rate if you want!

I changed the roof line: I made the roof 1 stud longer and shortened the trunk. I think this looks better then the old roof (picture above).

Amazing!! I recently attempted a roadrunner, but gave up. I especially love the taillights! Very accurate to the real car all over!!

Ho. Lee. Censor. That's huge! Incredibly accurate, proportioned perfectly, detailed beyond belief! The only innacuracy is the flat sides, which of course lack some of it's lines, but..... wow! It looks exactly like the one my dad used to own. How much does it weigh? I'm betting somewhere in the neighborhood of 13 pounds.

Very nice, a little slab sided, but not sure what you can do to change that. The modified roofline looks much better proportioned. very impressive overall.

Quoting Nosaj Nos The 2x2 chrome dishes was my first idea. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=55982 these ones with clear 2x2 inside would looks good.
I thougt so. But the ones that are on now I had laying around. The dishes are to expensive I think. I don't think those rims will look nice, I think it has to be chrome.

Quoting Manuel K (aka Dragooonie) very nice, great LARGE scale car there! Just shouldn't be called "W.I.P.", rather "W.A.P" for "work almost perfect". Keep it up!
Well thanks Manuel K! Glad you like it! I put the engine in today and it ''works''. Also most off the interior is done. I hope I can finish it tomorow!

Quoting ethan case no worries, how do you have sooo many peices? could you check out my mocs plz?
I Allready had a lot off pieces. I collected a lot off LEGO when I was younger. For this car I ordered normal bricks in 1 wide and a bunch off plates in advance, so I had enough. I have an adres here in Holland that is quite cheap!

Quoting Nosaj Nos You are very good in building large scale. But i think itīs a mistake to post wips. When itīs done i like to see every detail on a car.So itīs in pieces. One thing- the rear looks very original but at the front you should add other lights. Hope to see the complete one in 2 or 3 days.
Thanks for your comment. I think W.I.P.'s are a good way to hear some opinions about the design off the car. I also think there are a lot off people who like to see how a car like this is build. About the headlights: I think these look remarkably good by the way. Chrome looks the best and most realistic. I have some round SNOT 2x2 pieces in white but I don't think they would look very good. I also looked at 2x2 dishes in chrome, but they are € 1,00 a piece and I'll need 6 of them. To finish it I'll also need clear dishes I think (only € 0,16). What is your suggestion?

Quoting Rolands Kirpis Well.. I don't want to rate and comment, but I can stand not doing that. The model looks really good already. Yes - the change of the roofline makes it look more realistic. Hope to see this finished someday.
I'm glad you agree on the roof thing! In 1 or 2 days it will be ready I think.
