For the Golden Archers in the category of Steampunk.
Since my last steampunk creation became my most popular moc in less than a month (102 "i like it's"), i figured i would give steampunk another try. I am kind of sticking to my specialty here by building a steampunk-like bipedal walker. Oh, and this morning i turned 19 years old! Any chance of bonus birthday points judges? :)
About this creation
A close up of the upper leg.
And a close up of the lower leg.
This is a close up of the greebling on the side of the body.
Here is some greebling under the boiler.
Back of the legs.
Here is the pilot in his seat.
An overhead shot of the walker.
The front of the legs.
And finally the large cannons. Powered by good old black powder!
Sweet. This seems like it would make the same sound as the giant harnesser machine from Terminator Salvation. Very cool design. I'm enjoying all the gears and rubberbands to make it really seem practical.
Judging by your skill, I guess you won't need any of those "bonus birthday points", this is certainly among the most amazing and best greebled mecha walkers I've seen here on MOCpages! Anyway, 5/5 for detail and technical prowess, keep up the good work.
Awesome. i Love Mechs, and I love Steampunk, but what happened to the Pilot's left hand between the last Steampunk Mech and this one? Did he loose a battle in the other one, thus being forced to come up with this beast? haha
We need to seriously look into having you taken out, either by sniper or spiked drink. I can't write what I'm really feeling or the filters would probably short circuit. Kidding, of course! Another masterpiece, deserving of it's score.~H
Have you ever read the book "Leviathan"? Because this reminds me vigorously of a machine in that book called a "Stormwalker". Amazing job on those legs, with all those tiny wheels and rubber bands. Stunning.
I find the legs a bit too busy, but then some say Rihanna has think ankles too. Nice job and worth every penny of a five (5) points. Lee.

AUGHHHHARAHGHHH is what I am saying on the inside, why do you always get to be so popular is what I am always saying to myself, and this moc showed me why, your moc's are pristine, from the gears and cogs, the rubber-bands to look like chains, the chains, the foot-pads, the mountains of greebles, thats why yours are better. My mocs are plain, grey, bland, boring, unsuitable for even my followers (favorite builders of mine) to even comment, I think that It's fair to say, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!, O.K., maybe you saw that coming, but, sigh, I have to give you a Nonillion (thats 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000) out of five, man, why can't this scale go any higher! P.S., could you join the group I invited
you to (The Cooperation Of.....). Once more, Happy birthday!
It may be your birthday but you're the one giving US the gift with this MOC! I can actually picture this thing tromping through the old west, demolishing saloons and brothels as it strolls along! Perfection in every way. ~ Chris.
This is amazing! I really like that you used some similar design elements (to your hardsuit), as if they were both coming from the same line (or whatever). The detail is stunning and the build awesome. All in all astounding work, good luck! BTW happy birthday ;)
