Cerberus built SSV Normandy SR2, Heavy stealth reconnaisance frigate, which is the chief means of interstellar transport for the protagonist in Mass Effect 2.
About this creation
If you like it, please rate it!

Excatly one month to the day after construction was 'complete', the SR2 recieved her first overhaul (excluding the hangar modifications to accomodate the UT-47). She was given minor cosmetic upgrades to dorsal surface, as well as an actual display stand, rather than an up-turned box. This Stand now sports the Black and Orange Cerberus logo, evident in the most recent image.

Slightly off angle plan view. Those of you who have constructed models in excess of 1 meter and tried to photograph it will appreciate the difficulty in doing so.

The views above and below are prehaps my favourite angle - somewhat agressive, but showing off the curved hull to good effect.

A nice comparison photograph to give an idea of the size of this model - at 1.26m, she's a bit of a beast to move around. I chose to stick with a space exploration theme for comparison (as well as a common(ish) official set that can be easily recognised), so what better than the Shuttle Discovery?

Cerberus stand. Why? Because I can.
Main docking hatch, used for direct personel and cargo trasnfer via external boarding tube, allowing the Normandy to dock with anything sporting the equipment.

The THANIX system was a little tricky to install - because of the shape, location, size and need not only to be retractable without trace, but include cylindrical barrels which extend and retract back into the cannons themselves.

Feel free to comment - I do read and act on them, the inspiration for this MOC came from one such observation.
Thanks for taking the time to view, and remember, whatever doesn't kill you, dies horribly.

If you are interested in making this ship a reality for everyone, you should post it on Cuusoo. It can come with: Joker, Shepard (male and Female) and some Reaper stickers. Here is a link to my GameInformer profile page if you are interested to talk:

I made a new, smaller, more production viable version specifically for CUUSOO, but the project was shut down last year when they changed their terms of service. It is my understanding that currently the LEGO group refuses to go near FPS game content, and so the Mass Effect franchise is sadly off limits.
The smaller model is still here on MOCpages though, instructions included if anyone wants a model that badly and can afford to do it - I know a couple of people already have built the Cerberus version. |

Will you be selling any of your Normandy variants?
With some luck TLG may at some point use my SR2 MKII version as a base for an official product (provided I get 10,000 supporters and it passes their review). At present, you can download the designs off of this page: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/314479 and build it with parts from your collection or order pieces individually online. You can also support the CUUSOO project from that page, which will bring it one step closer to becoming a potential set! As for selling models myself, I have no intention to, nor have the right to do so as the SSV Normandy design/image is intellectual property of Bioware. |

You're welcome! If I may, I would give you some advice:
-1- Prepare a good and detailed project presentation (number of pieces, possible pricing, instructions...).
-2- Post actual photos of your project with deatailed explanations, people will support you if your project is believable and appears ready for the shops. Well composed photos.
-3- Add your custom minifigs.
-4- Think like you have to start a new series, show them the MAKO, your previous SR1 (also beautiful), the UT-47 Kodiak shuttle or the stunning Sovereign, think also modular. A 500$ set sounds too exclusive.
-5- Look very carefully at Back To The Future project that guy knows how to promote himself.
-6-Become a supporter for a project, you'll see that to support someone is not that simple like add an iLike on facebook, LEGO will ask you to justify your chioce.
I've some other idea for promoting.
10000 supporters are so many to gather, but it's a reachable target. You already have one.
Good Night.

Fantastic! As good as official UCS sets.
Why don't you post it on LEGO CUUSOO page as a project? I will support it and eventually buy it immediately.
Your creation is such an inspiring!
Thank you so much for the heads up on that site! As it happens, I finished a digital 80cm SR2 just 2 days ago that I haven't yet posted. If you liked this, you'll love the new one - designed in both Cerberus and Alliance liveries.
I'll be uploading it here and on CUUSOO shortly. With enough support, it'll get produced - and it'll be a lot cheaper than the £1k model you see above.
If it does become a reality, it'll be thanks to your timely suggestion! |

If it was me I would never part with it, but I am a collector and this would be the finishing touches to my ME2.

You, sir, are a God amongst LEGO Men. I bow before your constructing greatness. That aside, in one of your other posts you stated LEGO wouldn't allow the sale of the parts for your ME creations because of copyright restrictions though one would think if you removed the words "Normandy" and "SR2" from the model itself it would make it legal. LEGO would not be selling the parts to make THE Normandy SR2 only parts to make a ship that resembles it. And as long as you offer the LDD model free to the world you wouldn't be libel either. That or I just don't understand the nuances of the industry and legal system. |

I am flattered that I gave you inspiration!
You really outdid yourself.. it IS a masterpiece, and you can't imagine how much I'd love to have it on a stand in my living room, with the proper credits to the creator on the stand!
It's a dream that I had before and that you made it real with your perfect job :) |

Quite frankly, Lupom, your comment on my SR1 put the idea in my head and inspired me to build her. I can never repay you. Thank you, my friend. (+15 paragon) |

It's AWESOME!
I've seen other SR-2 Normandy before, but you did an excellent work!
I've got to you from the official ME2 forum where someone linked your creation!

I know that you've already replied on this, but like me, many others would love to have some instructions to build the SR-2 Normandy since you really did a piece of art! |

Quoting Thomas Moore
I take it there's no change of ever seeing instructions for that thing or even the shuttle.
Unfortunately not for the SR2, but for you, the Kodiak shuttle I could manage. UPDATE- Instructions now available for download on the UT-47 Kodiak page. |
