this ship looks a ton better than my try's to recreate the Normandy. could be get the instructions for this ship as the smaller one is cool but this looks a lot better.

I made a new, smaller, more production viable version specifically for CUUSOO, but the project was shut down last year when they changed their terms of service. It is my understanding that currently the LEGO group refuses to go near FPS game content, and so the Mass Effect franchise is sadly off limits. The smaller model is still here on MOCpages though, instructions included if anyone wants a model that badly and can afford to do it - I know a couple of people already have built the Cerberus version.

With some luck TLG may at some point use my SR2 MKII version as a base for an official product (provided I get 10,000 supporters and it passes their review). If I may, I would give you some advice: -1- Prepare a good and detailed project presentation (number of pieces, possible pricing, instructions...). -2- Post actual photos of your project with deatailed explanations, people will support you if your project is believable and appears ready for the shops. Well composed photos. -3- Add your custom minifigs. -4- Think like you have to start a new series, show them the MAKO, your previous SR1 (also beautiful), the UT-47 Kodiak shuttle or the stunning Sovereign, think also modular. A 500$ set sounds too exclusive. -5- Look very carefully at Back To The Future project that guy knows how to promote himself. -6-Become a supporter for a project, you'll see that to support someone is not that simple like add an iLike on facebook, LEGO will ask you to justify your chioce. I've some other idea for promoting. 10000 supporters are so many to gather, but it's a reachable target. You already have one. Good Night.

this is pure awesome, it has inspired me and a friend to build a too scale Normandy sr2 with all five decks, all rooms, and possibly all crew and team mates. once again PURE AWESOME keep up the great work.

Naa, she's still very much whole. Had a few updates last time I visited 'home' too (she'd met with a nasty accident, so I took the chance to make modifications, mainly to her external guns). My friend I commemorate you and your fantastic creation in making the Normandy SR2 out of legos. Your the only person Ive seen make a replica of the Normandy SR2 to its entirety and I am just totally blown away. You, sir, are a God amongst LEGO Men. I bow before your constructing greatness. That aside, in one of your other posts you stated LEGO wouldn't allow the sale of the parts for your ME creations because of copyright restrictions though one would think if you removed the words "Normandy" and "SR2" from the model itself it would make it legal. LEGO would not be selling the parts to make THE Normandy SR2 only parts to make a ship that resembles it. And as long as you offer the LDD model free to the world you wouldn't be libel either. That or I just don't understand the nuances of the industry and legal system.

Nice model. It looks somewhat complicated on some parts :-) Is there a slight bow built in or is it just the weight of the overhanging nose? Always glad to hear people building 100% LEGO. Just keep the writing as it is.

Although I was tempted to make the name in decals, I thought it looked good without it at all (will post pics of this shortly), other than that, I was determined to keep the ship 100% LEGO bricks - even the shuttle fin on the bow has been replaced with a plain one.

this is the best lego creation i've ever seen in my whole life! I finished mass effect 1 last week and are now playing ME2(love the game). this is like a LIMITED EDITION/COLLECTORS EDITION OF THE NORMANDY SR2 if the lego company made one. buut it would probably look crapy. Dar'vit! I was going to build a microscale Normandy SR-1, but no one is going to notice mine because of the sheer awesomeness of yours. The level of detail is incredible, and the fact it can hold a shuttle is amazing! Does it have an interior or anything like that? And are those little guys there supposed to be geth?
