Well, I've got a bit of a story to this build. I've been dragging my butt with working on my short story entry, and I was feeling pretty bad for not posting anything for my team in this opening week so I volunteered to do the Top 10 category. I sat down and started messing around with bricks and eventually I came up with this fairly simple robot technique. I liked it, but I wanted to make something more complex, and I did, but I could never get over the flexibility and just general coolness of this little guy so I said "What the heck" and decided to name him "Dance-Bot" and sat down to test his abilities with a short stop motion movie. Hope you enjoy!

And here's the quick stop-motion that I couldn't resist making. It's definately not my best, but I'm content with it. :)

(Oh and a quick disclaimer: The Bley objects that you may see under the feet in the video are NOT additional pieces. They are little blobs of clay that I placed there so I could animate it without using a base plate. Oh, don't worry, I specifically use that kind of clay because it comes off easy and doesn't damage the piece at all.)

Why does everyone build so small in this category? This is fine, but it's nothing I haven't seen before. The video is really cool, but doesn't add to my vote. I'm reluctantly awarding you 3 points (mostly for presentation), but I REALLY want to see something innovative in the category!

Finally, a Dance-Dance Revolution competitor who may be able to beat my high score. I tremble in the awe of his dancing abilities. Cool creation, very unique considering the use of very few pieces. Good luck with the competition!
