SAAB 9000CS
This is my real life car - SAAB 9000CS (1993). It's really old car, but still runs just fine. I have made it to 140 km/h but it can go even faster. There just aren't that good streets in my region and actually... where's the hurry? So people, drive safe and remember - always wear your seat belts ;)
About this creation
This might sound familiar or at some point stupid, but this was harder that I thought. The car is smaller that my other chousen cars so to fit it to the same scale I had to use different technologies. A challenge was to build working 4-in-line engine and fit it into the engine compartment. Also - it has 15 inch tyre (Chrysler 300C and BMW X5 has 18 - 20 inch) so the LEGO model should have had about one stud smaller tyre, but as you know, there aren't any.

Not only new building technologies, but also new softwares I experienced during building this car. I finally found a software where I can bend hoses. And what's even better - software to render high quality pictures. Four new programs I used to consider this project done. As previously, basically the model is build with SR 3D Builder using LDraw library. Hoses and some final stuff is build with MLCad with LSynth plugin. *.ldr file is recoded by L3P (lights and other cosmetic stuff is set by L3P-Add_on (L3PAO)) and then the outcomeing *.pov file is rendered by POV-Ray.

Huuuuuuuuuuuge thanks to Jurgen Krooshoop who helped me out with this whole stuff!!!

That's the background stuff. But I'm sure that most of you can't wait to see the result. As it is already used to be, I tried to build every detail as good as I can as for exterior as for interior.
- It has all doors openable, rear doors can be opened without opening the front doors (but that's not new from me :) ).
- Trunk and hood - openable.
- Glove box, spare-wheel compartment and that little box between the front seats - all openable.
- Sun visors, mirrors - adjustable.
- Recycle bin (shelf) in the front panel.
- All seats adjustable. Rear seats can be turned down (4 parts).
- Bendable or even removable rear shelf.
- Independent suspension on all wheels.
- Working 4-in-line engine - front wheel drive.
- Working steering from steering wheel.

So here it is! Enjoy!!
Exterior...

Engine...

All opened...

Front panel...

Rear shelf bended, spare wheel compartment opened. It's quite roomy actually.

Rear shelf removed, rear sears turned down...

Engine with chassis...

Engine cutaoff so you can see that it really is working 4-in-line engine.

Hope you like it. See ya in a few months again! Same place, same time ;D

Saab cars are lovable no matter how quirky they are(maybe that's why so many people love them).I hope you have enough pieces to build it.After all, it's your own car.

Roland this is again a wonderful car. The idea of making a Saab is very creative. Spyker just bought Saab which is cool. Now they can make beautiful cars again. This car is a magnificent masterpiece of you. The details are again stunnig, but I'll would like to see one in real bricks, that would even be cooler. But A well deserved 20/10 ;). Keep building my friend ;).

I owned 2 Saabs in my life, and both ran excellent....and both were smashed up by some other car. I miss those cars dearly! LOL I had a 900 turbo and a 9000 turbo. You did an excellent job of recreating your 9000CS and I'm totally jealous you own one in real life!

Awesome on a stick. That is so accurate! I know you have an unlimited pallet of bricks in LDD (so it's never really the same as using real bricks) but that still must've taken some amazing skill! 5/5
