My entry for the 2010 Valentine’s Day contest in the Spooky Group
About this creation
Here it is! A tad bit late, but well worth the wait!
[My entry for the 2010 Valentine’s Day contest in the Spooky Group]
* Warning/Disclaimer *
This MOC comic is meant to be entirely humorous. It is NOT intended to rip on real-world religions, cultures, or values. Nor is it intended to present the actual beliefs or values of any real person.
Also, this MOC contains what some consider “strong” language, as well as a few innuendos. You have been warned.

“Dong delivery”? Wait, what?

She’s got a red book… Redbook? And that banana sure gets around…

***** THE CAST *****
(In order of appearance):

* The Mailman - as in "a man who carries the mail". No, feminazis, I'm not changing it to "letter carrier" or "mail person" or "postal delivery worker". You can take your "political correctness" and stuff it.

Jane Jones (Jack’s Sister - she has a name now!)

My new succubus minifig.
(Un)holy hotness...

Fiend guard (from a previous MOC).

So this is what Mr. Bones does on weekends... I guess that also explains the source of his undead powers...

Poor Kelso, getting hilariously abused as usual...

And here's one of the cultists (they're identical sextuplets).

The deadpan snarker: Kelvyr the Drow Elf (He's BAAAAAACK!)
***** BEHIND THE SCENES *****

The “front door” scene – changed only slightly since its first appearance here (hey, Hollywood re-uses sets all the time).

The fireplace room, reused from "Nothing as it seems...".

Once again, that's my American Flag MOC photoshopped into that pic.

A close-up of the skull dais.

Seedy underbelly of skull dais.

A top-down view of the "Temple of LEDA"
***** OBLIGATORY POST-PRODUCTION SCREWING AROUND *****

And here's my friend, the intrepid Cutlass-Crocodile “Indiana Jonesing” it through the temple!
* NOTES *
* As usual, the program I used to build this is LeoCAD.
I then converted it to an .ldr file and rendered it with LDView.
For info on contacting me about permission to use the design or obtaining a copy of the 3D file I made, see my homepage.

Yes, I've seen previews of the Prince of Persia sets - I think they look quite good. |

Great temple design and I like your quirky story, I hate getting somebody elses mail! With all the moc athalon maddness I kinda forgot about our little spooky valentine contest! Looks like everybody else did too... Well done on your landslide victory! Much deserved :) |

Now if SigKelso's heart had been removed from the same orifice as Lee Jone's carrot, we'd have had a winner! |

Great job on this MOC. Nice sets, funny story. No worries about being a tad late as no one even entered besides you, so..YOU WIN! Prize details in the spooky group later this week. |

That's some of your best scenery yet! It made me laugh the whole time. I agree with Robert, that is your best set yet! The SNOT work is great, keep at these! |

Some great stuff in this short story! The temple was my 'whoa - that's a big one...' moment, though. But then there was me swinging 'round the temple scene... You're the best! |

Not good, but great! I kind of suspect that the delivery service mixed up two orders there. And, I may have a rude sense of humor, but the delivery man getting smacked in the face made me laugh.
As usual, your constructions are excellent. That temple is something else!
Thank you! I did want to try some new building techniques with that temple (like the SNOT work and the diagonal striping). |
