And now for something completely different (for me anyway). My children (and I) enjoy watching the Star Wars films, and now the Star Wars television show. One of the spaceships that frequently makes an appearance in the films and in the TV show is the Y-wing (albeit in different configurations). This model is a version of a Y-wing that is made exclusively from the parts found in LEGOŽ set 4891 "Highway Power" which was a $10US set from 2006.



I know, I know, this alternate model is a long way off of the original set's theme, but hey, that is the neat thing about LEGOŽ! There are so many possibilities and combinations with the pieces.



The Y-wings from the movies had engine nacelles which had an open structure. The Y-Wings in the TV show, in contrast, have closed nacelles. So, this version has a combination of both.



So, this was a fun build, and a bit of a challenge to come up with a recognizable form from the limited set of pieces.
