Tipper Lorry
Here we have a medium size articulated tipper truck. A good way to use all those extra wheels..
About this creation
It works quite well, with good steering , opening doors and lifting tipper box, as well as a swinging tailgate and cover bar. I like it's simplicity although some say it's quite plain.

To my slight surprise, the lifting mechanism is strong enough to lift the box full of bricks with only a little creaking (!) and it stays up thanks to being geared down three times.

Quoting Tom Simon Congrats on the Olympic win, Nick. It was well earned, and a treat to witness.
Thanks Tom. Your unstinting support means a lot. I look forward to the day when you pick up a brick again, and blow us all away.

Awesome. Simple, but very nice. Great job!

What a nice truck! It's very 80s Technic - which is a good thing :) The mechanics of the tipper are awesome and you've done very well to make it so strong. The opening door are a nice touch and I think the styling is very nice, too. Top Marks for a tip-top tipper!!!

I love a good truck and this is fantastic. I can't believe I haven't discovered this until now. Great tipping mechanism, you are a master at Lego engineering. Top work as always, Nick!

Quoting Tom Simon The body may not be showy or glitzy, but that does not make it plain. It's certainly appropriate for a truck. The recessed, SNOT sides and the front grill show that it's not "plain". The working features are, of course, lovely. I also picked this MOC as an arbitrary venue for contacting you. How about, in a future car, including a spring loaded hood that pops up when pulling a release inside the cabin. If anyone could pull something like that off, it's you. And a demo would make a fine video. And, hey, there is also relatching it by just pushing back down, without extra handling of parts. One question is what is my problem for pushing my ambitions on others? ;^}
Well, what a great idea. The next big car I do will have these features. As for pushing ambitions on others: Please keep doing your gorgeous outdoor scenery - that's something that always looks terrible when I attempt it :-)
