Berserker Technology discovered In Baby Kronos, Martian Artifact
About this creation
Both the Baby Kronos, discovered floating in space, and the Martian Artifact, a Kronos Variant, were discovered to have Berserker technology as a major component in their computer systems. Researchers at BII's Mars Research Facility have identified these modules, each of which is 1.65 MM in length, as being of Berserker manufacture and are very similar to the modules found in salvaged Berserker devices and equipment.
"The technology is complex," said one source, "and is consistent with what we do know of the Berserkers. Our preliminary scans also indicated that the tiny gray cylinders are filled with a maze of nano circuitry and router discs. Fortunately, the modules are not getting any power and are completely dead, otherwise we might have a problem on our hands.
"We did manage to connect four of these modules to a carefully isolated desktop computer, for about 5 seconds before the data flow overloaded its capacity! Four of them! And each of the alien devices has about 3 million such modules contained within it. I think we've gone about as far as we want to go with these things. My opinion is that they should be destroyed immediately."
Berserkers, as the average reader knows, are programmed to seek out and destroy sentient biologicals, such as humans. If either of the artifacts ever became active the results could be disastrous.
Shown here are a single module and three connected modules, each of them as small as a match head.

What an eye-candy ! Looks unique, very creative and the coloring is outstanding !
Thank you. I was going for the retro look and I think it turned out rather well. I was really glad when i figured out a way to cover up that gap along the sides with 1x1 rounds. I'm just hoping it will look as good in plastic as it does in virtual.

The colors on this are great, this is probably one of my favorite of your space ships.
Um, sorry to correct you, but it's not a ship. It's a computer "chip" about one and a half millimeters long, a synapse of an artificial intelligence. But I'm glad you like the colors. The ancient transistors sort of looked like that without all the greebling and such. Huge things, comparatively, about half an inch long.
