My first MOC for almost 30 years. Its good to be back... though I don't remember getting finger cramp this bad before :)
About this creation
Although I prefer the grey and blue colour scheme of Classic Space, my last set as a child was the 6980, so I thought I'd go with white for this one.
My lucky number is 22, hence the name.

This is an exceptional MOC, especially after a 30 year dark age! While I'm not a huge classic-space fan (being too young to remember those sets), I still like the design and look of this build. The fins are excellent, as is the shape. I also like the 22 on the bottom. It's strange to think about how much LEGO has changed in thirty years, and what it might be like in another thirty. It seems like there's really not much left to change, but I know that it will. Weird. Great work! |

Ooh yeh! It is so good to see a fellow classic space artist. This is a beauty, no doubt. Great shape, great color balance, and great evolution from the simpler ships of the classic era. The number onb the bottom a great touch. Love it.----
----- P.S any bloke who has figured out how to get a woman to understand that playing with LEGO is O.K is a genius in my book!
Cheers :) She's building a 6980 as we speak, hence I'm not building. Same as yesterday .Not sure this was such a good idea lol Time to get a bigger table... |

JB, I don't know if you've noticed or not, but your 22 bears just a slight resemblance to a real F-22. Your outward canted vertical stabilizers are perfect. The overall shape is just awesome. Great classic look. Regards, Eric.
Thanks for the nice comments Eric :) You're right. I used to build Airfix models of fighters many years ago, I wonder if some subconscious memory popped up while I was building...
