Medical Evac and Supply Ship
When the "Flying Nun" (as she is affectionately called) lands, a ground crew as well as medical personnel swarm about her, offloading supplies and securing the wounded.
About this creation
This incredibly swift medical ship has an evacuation capacity of four and a crew of two. The MFB-E7-3 is used in both domestic as well as military capacities, though recently it has become the primary hot-zone medical ship in the Signet Military Corp.

The Evac hatch opens up and the inner emergency life-support chamber slides out.

The opposite side doors open, as well, revealing much needed medical supplies.

Casualties are secured in a life-support unit and remain in stasis until a System Hospital or other medical facility is reached.

Ample supplies of blood, plasma, insulin, ACB-5 (artificial composite blood), and Regenerit are offloaded. Regenerit (in the phosphorous liquid containers) is a substance that accelerates the healing processes of the types of wounds associated with battle trauma: lacerations, burns, broken bones, shrapnel, etc. The dark green orb within the transparent case houses a precious shipment of CC Beta (cellulose carbonite) which is the raw material used to grow replacement organs.

Ground crew personnel bring out the stabilized wounded, ready for space flight.

The ship's medic handles the wounded from here...

...and secures the unfortunate soul in his unit.

The chipper ground crew member drives away relieved (the wounded man was his BF), and the medic descends the ramp to get the ship ready for departure.

On the other side of the "Flying Nun" supplies are hurriedly unpacked as the pilot refuels.

You definitely want these professionals working for you, along with their robotic aides.

As the MFB-E7-3 blasts off, its underside is visible, revealing the retro thrusters that allow it to drop into hot-zones or the landing pads of space ports.

The Terran Academy uses the following format in ship designation: engine type, class, and design number. The "Flying Nun" uses Mixed-Fusion-Burn spacelight engines (MFB), is an Emergency craft (E), specifically Medical Evacuation (7) and is the third generation of its particular design (3). The MFB-E7-3 can also be considered a -Breuer- ship since its overall look, functionality, style and handling are modeled after the ship designer Nills Breuer.

As the Medical Evac and Supply vessel rockets through the atmosphere, a clear look at its twin Mixed-Fusion-Burn spacelight engines affords itself, as well as the center sublight Carbon Reaction engine. Few non-Signet Corp. ships are faster in spacelight.

And, of course, a graphic of ship specifications is just super cool.

Really like the way it unfolds. Very clever. Be even more clever if it unfolded into a prefabricated hospital, but eh. Can't have everything.

Thanks, guys, for the wonderful comments! I'm glad a space ambulance, essentially, can draw as much attention as a battle ship. Maybe this will lend support for a new heading under "spacecraft" titled "Utility Ships."

Quoting affliction . Fantastic ship! Except, wouldn't the EMTs have to run around the ship to get from the supplies to the wounded? That's a pretty inefficient design :P
The supplies aren't for casualties being put on the ship, they are for those left behind. So one side offloads the supplies while the other puts the wounded on.
