A 1:17 Ferrari F430 GT2 AF Corse version.
About this creation
This MOC is actually one of the first cars I have ever build. I am working on a new 1:17 scale car carrier truck, and I need some wheels to put on it.
As I am a big fan of racing cars I decided to make a Ferrari F430 in GT version. As a start I looked at the F430 Lego kit to save some time, but I was disappointed by the detail level of that one. I decided to do a bottom off rebuild where basically nothing has remained original besides a couple of parts and stickers.
Having decided that I choose the 2007 AF corse GT2 car from the FIA GT championship as a base for this model, there was a lot of work to do. This included a different engine layout, roll cage, 1 stud widened roofline, racing accessories, and some extra spoilers and a big rearwing. The other thing I wanted where working doors, basically the biggest lack in the original box.
All in all very nice to build something different this time, and it will not be my last one!

That's amazing! I tried for almost a year to add some good mods to my F430, but it's going nowhere. But this are the nicest mods I'vve ever seen! Great job! |

Superb job on this car. I like the fact that it's still recognizable as the original set from lego but it's so completely different at the same time. I'm looking forward to the other rides. |

I had to looks twice on the builders name... It's realy you?? It's seems so unusual from you. But nevertheless - it looks nice. And I have to agree with comments below - LEGO company would be more sucessful, if they more stuff like your car, but for less money... |

I think LEGO would sell a lot more stuff if their cars were as good as this! Also, I like your chrome rims. |

Very nice! I've once seen a car a lot like this one race at Laguna... I especially like the black ground effects under the nose: those really scream out GT car to me. Overall, excellent work! |
