VDS Light Squad Support Vehicle
VDS now presents the LSSV. The Light Squad Support Vehicle (LSSV) is the intermediate stage between the newer ALRV Mk.II and the MACV. Granted, the LSSV is equipped with a 7.62mm CROWS and can be later upgraded to a manned 12.7mm manned turret (not shown). Also to note, the LSSV is designed to carry five troops at one time and if almost completely stripped an additional four may be accommodated. Although not entirely resistant to explosive charges, the vehicle can resist most small arms fire and up to 12.7mm rounds shot at the cab. In any case, the LSSV is used for logistical purposes as well to carry preliminary supplies to stretched lines. Aside from that, the main idea is for a rapidly deployable unit that can be used in nearly all environments; therefore, civil contracts have been placed, too.

Excellent doctor. I love this one. All your vehicles have that unique, agressive and dangerous look to them. One point of intrest/concern, what of that open bak? couldn't a small explosive, i.e. grenade, be lobbed into that bay and destroy whatever is inside? ~T

A design like this is very modular. I'd say that you should make add-ons for it, like a shell for the bed or a rocket luanching platform. And for the blind spots in the cab, you could put in a window piece. Overall, nice design to it, especially the sloped hood. 5/5

Quoting Shk Ad Aw Very nice. I wonder what it would look like with 2x2 plates in place of the jumper plates. This vehicle looks good in grey, but try your hand at a tan vehicle just to make me happy. Looks great.
The 2x2 doesn't look as nice granted the limited flow of proper texture as is my opinion; however, I can probably show you on Flickr if I can find another plate. And if I had enough tan, I would.

The open back is for rapid dismount. Granted this is for first attack force purposes, shouldn't be trapped in a can nor have to wait for the doors to drop to engage the foe. Plus, they're meant to stick close to the vehicle for support and vice versa. Mutual benefit.
