If you could turn all you touched to gold, you'd be a billionaire too! :D
About this creation
...You might also get kidnapped by nasty people... Just like Aura...
Homeland: Poliaz. Matoran Universe
Group: Dark Hunters
Aura remembers a little about her life as a matoran, which is more than can be said about most of the Elemental Toa. She grew up on Poliaz, and has fleeting memories of a matoran she once loved. His name was Gratigan ((Who was in Gringat's toa team, the Toa Vanembar.)).
She cannot remember how she became a toa, but her powers over the 79th element have proved to be extremely profitable. She can do alchemy. She posesses the Midas Touch, and automatically turns humdrum metal objects into Gold. This pretty much set her up for life. While useless in battle, Gold powers are very good for battling economic crises.
...Not a single man with a glint of greed in his soul didn't want her for his own...
And neither did The Shadowed One.
As she became more well known, word of Aura's power reached the ears of The Shadowed One, leader of the Dark Hunters. ((Real Canon character)) Fuelled by greed, he ordered her capture. "Charger" did not take long to kidnap her.
Once at their base in Odina, she was imprizoned, and forced to transmute metals into gold to fuel his many expensive weapons projects, purchase certain illegal items, etcetera. She gave him power.
But they made a mistake. One night, when the guards had carelessly left their post (after all, a weakling Toa like her had no chance of escaping - and I'm thirsty) she transmuted her protodermis shackles and chains into gold. The soft metal tore easily as she pulled herself out. She did the same with the cage door to her cell, and when the guard atacked - to his armour as well. His circuitry was completely crippled, and he died, paralysed.
Aura escaped after that. The Dark Hunters are after her still. To avoid getting tracked, she coats her hands and feet in lead plating. ((Because everyone knows you can't turn lead into gold. Silly medieval alchemists. :) )) She later aqquired a kanohi Kualsi to allow her to teleport.
-Weak power over electricity.
-Resistant to energy attacks due to being unreactive.
-Automatically turns any metal she touches into Gold ((Apart from lead)), but the process isn't instantaneous.
-Do feminine wiles count as a power? Probably not.
-Can teleport to any location within her line of sight, using the mask.
-Prone to accidentally transmuting things.
-Weak to physical attack - especially bludgeoning.
-Not a very proficient fighter.
Fourth Wall Commentary
Aurum is the latin name for gold, just like Argentum is Latin for silver. it means "Shining Dawn" - since Aura is female, I had to feminise the word.
I added dark blue to her colour set to look like the Lapis Lazuli on Tutenkhamen's mask, etc. Sadly I only have a handful of lapis colured peices, and you saw them all on Epsilon.
She uses a Metru torso. I haven't gotten one of those into a MOC in ages - and Brolas didn't pull it off that well.
Credit to Shadowgear6335's Goldrush (and the V2 of him) for bating me to making a toa of Gold. Curse You. That's viewable Here. Thankfully, my toa's powers are more based off GCSE level sciencey stuff whee Shadowgear has gone for more generic, comic-bookish ones.
((Detail of how the King Matthias crowns attach to her shoulders. Surprisingly it fits without even using Blu-Tak... but I use it anyway :P ))
Stay tuned for more Elemental Toa! I have the whole Bloomin' Periodic Table to get through! :D
Oh, and the theme is The Escapist by Nightwish. Fitting, yes? It should be, since her story is based off the song, not the other way around.
By the way... When you make the revamp, be sure to add the bio-core. Just use a grey System rocket-bottom part and a trans-neon green stud on the end. It'll easily attach to any part with a plus-slot, cuz it has one on the inside.
I meant, every time I try to use Metru bodies but make them so the arms aren't all cognical like the original Metru I just can't get my head around using it. I try putting ball joints pieces into them, and the arms just flop about....
When I saw the thumbnail I thought it would be based on Tutenkhamen's mask! Nice build, and I like the story very much, but how did you use a metru body? Also, that's a lot of gold pieces. I wish I bought Brutaka now. :D
