Unit A.P.E. LDD Mech
Experimental mech design Advanced Primate Engine (A.P.E.) Wish list of changes: - fill in some of the holes in the body work, and limbs - add some weapons, possibly on the spine/shoulder region - greebles, there needs to be some sense that this is a machine - more poseability, I'd like to add a double joint to the arms - less blocky leg design, I'd like there to be a proper foot - more simian face, a little less "muppet" like.
About this creation

The double joint thing didn't look right so I've gone back to the original model.

added a few shots of the amended body with longer arms and a slightly different shoulder style.

GW:APE - or Great White Ape; is a mech based loosely on the mythical white gorilla.

That is a cool form of locamotion that is rarely seen in such mechs. Pretty cool poses too.

Quoting Joe Ong Very Impressive!.. i was already impressed with the first shot.. the way the mecha is crouched, is no mean feat... xD.. plus you have managed to make it not only highly motile, but also detailed at the same time... very nice!...
Thank you, I'm currently working on ways to improve the detail and incorporate a greater range of poseability. My ambition is for him to be capable of pounding his chest. At the moment because there is no rotation on the biceps it isn't possible to rotate the arm into an appropriate pose.

Quoting John Moffatt I can definitely see the simian influence.
I think I need to work on the head a little, but I'm pretty happy so far with the body. A few more joints to make it a bit more poseable here and there and obviously longer arms.
