Suffice it to say this is a mini model of an A-10 Warthog.
About this creation
It's been awhile since I built a mini plane.
Here are the additional pictures I promised.
I built this for an upcoming vignette, and it's been a while since I built some mini planes. Overall I'm pleased with the result, and am happy with how the proportions and engines came out. I also tried to get the upward sweep of the wings.
My goal in designing the engines for the A-10 was no technic pins or gaps. So I wrapped a rubberband around the center stud and held the wheel on with a half pin and some flex tube. The whole thing sits on the plate with the sticks on it (for lack of knowledge of the official classification) to keep the engines from spinning around.
I should be finishing a couple more planes and vignettes soon; so hopefully I'll have those up soon.
Until then I hope you you find this to your approval.
