Although my timing is odd, considering I only recently posted my first brickbuilt samus, I've revised the original to be more accurate and poseable.
About this creation
The first problem I had to address was the shoulders. I used a rod and some clips to make the arms and shoulders independent. The result was even better than I'd expected: The arms can be set at almost ninety degrees from the shoulders!
The hand was a special touch I came up with while pondering how I could create statuary from the Prime series. It can only fit three fingers, though.
Unfortunately, the model isn't as stable as I'd like it to be. If only I had more of those robot claw pieces in orange...
Here's how it looks from the back. If it wasn't for the pole that's holding the arms on, I would've used binoculars for the space jump jets.
The great thing about this design is how easily I can mod it to resemble various power suits, like the light suit, the dark suit, and the PED suit, for example.

EDIT: First MOC of mine featured on the main page! WOOOHOOO!
EDIT: I have made some slight alterations to the arms and legs, although I have not posted them yet.
EDIT(2/5/12): Let me start by saying that no, I am not dead, just busy (also, watching lots of anime). You see, I'm kind of in the middle of my junior year and I'm trying to get an IB diploma, so I don't always remember to check in here. Secondly, V3--and possibly "final" since I can't seem to find a way to improve beyond it--is on the way. Just being a little picky about the background of the photo for once.

Problem is, I've been planning to make a purchase on BL for a while, but there are several parts I'd like to order and I'd prefer to place only one order; there's no one who has all the pieces I need. (also I'm tight on cash, it's not a very big priority, ya know!) |

The design is fantastic! It's not perfect, but definitely a great model nonetheless. And it seems like the trend of making brickbuilt Samus minifigs is starting to catch on. Keep up the awesome work! |

Quoting Phazezorz .
I think the feet are a tad too large, as are the domes, and I think a different color besides trans-orange on them would be nice. Otherwise it is great, really.
I can agree about the feet, but the disk pieces are EXETREMELY rare in yellow. There's no way I'll find four of them any time soon. |

Sweet, love it. And if you still want the jump jets, you might be able to spin the torso peice around.. although it would sacrifice the front torsos deatail.... anyway, great work! |

Very clever. And unmodified, too. Not very often you see an undamaged fig on the 'pages. |

Very cool! This is a pretty good alternative to all the standard minifigs, only the face doesn't match so well. Anyway, nice work! |
