AT-AT - (Details)
By Popular Demand.. here are some more pics of my massive AT-AT.
About this creation
I finally got around to taking some new detailed pictures of my AT-AT. This is my second largest MOC to date and one of my favourites. Lego's releases of the AT-AT have not been to true minifig scale. This big guy is! He can carry 40 troops seated in his belly on two different levels. This MOC is quite heavy and their is articulation on the ankles and hips. Due to his weight he mainly stays in a display case with other Lego creations recreating the battle of Hoth. PS Thank you Lego for releasing minifig battle packs for 2010 that include Imperial Commanders and AT-AT Drivers.

can you make some star wars-transformers crossover with star wars vehicles? You are really good at making transformers. (kind of like your rolling thinder optimus prime.)

Im not quite sure about the legs. You are right on the borderline between too skinny and just right. However, the rest of this thing is great. Your scale looks pretty good and the whole thing radiates the massiveness of the AT-AT walker. Your front head detailing is also really good. This is a well done model that hits all of the points it should have.

I thought about it but since he spends most of his time in a display case I did not bother.
Quoting Commando Charge Impressive, most impressive, now we can crush that scum even faster. WHAHAHAH, LOL Joking. But one thing, does it have the rappel lines that the troopers use to get out of it?

This massive mama looks incredible! I'd love to see what my snowspeeder would look like wrapping a tow cable around the legs!

If you look closely at the first few pictures you will see a stormtrooper minifig standing on top of the AT-AT this as I said to Chris will give you a size comparrison. It's huge!Glad you liked it!
Quoting Louis K. This has taken so long, but now it's finally there! Still as awesome as before, stunning build and amount of detail AND true minifig-scale! My only suggestion is to take a photo of the whole AT-AT opened (not just close ups of the troopers) to give an imagination of the size. All in all superb work!

If you look at the pictures under "The Big Guy....." title you will see a stormtrooper minifig standing on top of the AT-AT. He is dwarfed by the size of this MOC that should give you a size comparisson! Glad you liked it!
Quoting Chris Phipson It's hard to tell scale from a picture without a comparison point, but I'm guessing that thing is about what, 3 to 3 and a half feet tall?!!? Awesome work! I'd love to see this "display of the battle of Hoth." I've had an itch to do that scene myself but don't have the guts/bricks to try to pull it off yet. Thanks for sharing Chris, this is extrememly cool! ~ Chris
