This is my version of a classic fighter, the type that GAIA designers would hark back to when designing Beltane and Samhain fires. This is the original, Halloween Fire - complete with classic space weaponry including laser cannons and blue-plasma missiles. These are the fighters one would originally find within the hold of the venerable Rail Gun Frigates of Euro-space. Hope you like this one, cheers...

I like how you created the smooth surfaces. The one picture looks almost green? Was that a trick with photoshop?
It looks like a very fast fighter... |

A very stright foward design. Simple, clean, and cool. I really like the way you display it here. The angles and the shape really make me want to grab this thing and run around the house with it. Attack!
Thanx mate, exactly what I was goin for here, cheers for lookn... |

Very nice! I would make the front either taper coming forward of make the front section fuller, but this is still great.
Thanx mate. In terms of the tapering, do me a fovor if you can and check out my Beltane and Samhain Fire fighters http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/163813 and let know if I have done what you are talking about on those. Halloween Fire has actually been built as a less stylised predecessor to those fighters in my on going campaign story of GAIA. In any event, all the best and cheers mate... |

Yea, and the extra work for playability makes the building process more enjoyable!

I just can´t think of a better design for the predecessor of "Beltane" and "Samhain" fires. It has got the typical shape of its successors and the nice colours of classic/euro space ships. I´m glad that you´re always taking care about playability, e.g. the replaceable fuel cell. Just take out the depleted and put in a refueled one! Great job, Mr. Levens!
Thanx Marc. Exactly what I was going for, and yeh, playability is so important I agree, even if it does take some extra work, that's what makes a MOC a boxable product in my opinion. Cheers... |

Very nice. I do recall having a few Classic space sets back in the day. I really liked the transparent yellow canopies. That plug in fuel cell is something I hadn't thought of. i rather like that idea. |
