Avatar Aerospatiale SA-2 Samson
Another MOC for my Avatar Vignette. The propellers took some time, but I'm happy with the result as they are solid and still have a spinning action.
About this creation
This grid is a small breakdown of the different components for this MOC. I did this in Hawaii before I had to pack up my Lego and move to Colorado. I apologize if it's not a step by step set of photos and instructions, but if you study the photos of the finished MOC and then look at these, you'll probably be able to figure most of it out. If not, then improvise or improve on what I did. I'm sure you can. Comment with any questions and I'll try my best to answer. Thanks.

Top part of propellers spin freely!

Quoting commander Ryan That is so cool im planing one of these right nowum just a Q how many Slope 30 1 x 1 x 2/3 are in it?
Thanks! I don't have the MOC on hand right now because I'm moving and it's in a box, but I scanned my photos and those combined with what I remember I came up with about 43. If you have at least 43-45 of them on hand you should be good. Happy building!

This is excelent, but I think it could have been improved had you made the exterior entirely studless. You capture the shape of the Samson very well.

Yes, good guess. I did use a good portion of the Magna Guard Fighter. Right now I'm still building for the Moc Athalon, so it will be awhile till I can get to this. I'll post them on this page when I get to it. Thanks for waiting.

Quoting Flemmli Legofan Hm..... Well done. really nice job. Can you send me the instruktions too? If yes please send it too the email-adress: Flemmlilegofan@gmail.com
Thanks. Sorry, but I don't have any instructions. I create while I'm building. If I have time, I'll maybe take it apart in stages and photograph for more detail so you might be able to recreate it from that.

Quoting Ruari Beckwith Wow, amazing! Not to sound rude, but could you post instructions please, or a list of parts?
Thanks. Well, I might be able to get around to taking it apart and photographing the parts for you, but right now, for the month of Feb. it's on display in the Lego Store in Honolulu. So I don't have access to it and I design as I build so I can't really tell you how I did it now. I will try to post it if I can figure it out myself. Sorry.

Quoting Areetsa C I see. What about the gun? What's that little black bit that holds the muzzle on?
Good question. It's a Lego screwdriver from the ring of pop-out tools you get in City sets or the old Rock Raiders sets.

Quoting Areetsa C Apart from the sticker on the front, this is a very nice model. Don't know anything about the movie, but I do know that this is one of the nicer VTOLs I've seen recently. Quite like the sides and the canopy.
That's a printed tile from a Harry Potter set. I used it to show how they painted different images on the Samson in the movie. A lot like military choppers.
