Titanic
My Titanic, finally!
About this creation
This is it! After six months of hard work and a lot of money, here it is! It is the first giant-class of my ships, my first four-funneled ship, and is a whole two yard long. Some info:
  • 2 yards long

  • 18 lifeboats

  • 24 studs wide

  • has interior lighting

  • 226 studs long

As many ships of that era, lifeboats blocked view of the sea. That is one reason the Titanic did not have enough of them.

The stern. Not much to say here.

A bird's eye view. The real Titanic is much thinner compared to width.

Can't seem to get all the Titanic in one picture!

Tho forecastle of the ship. The thing sticking out was used for the ramp when at port(it is still unfinished).

As you can see, the ship seperates between the third and fourth funnel. This was necessary, for the ship itself weighs about ten pounds!(The structure inside takes up much of the weight, for it has to support the fragile top deck.)

And, before you leave, a night shot!

Quoting Falcon Soarer Great!!! How much $$$ did it cost to build? Just looking for a price for my creation
Many of the pieces were already mine, but I would save up about $200 for the ship, yet without the interior. The Normandie v2 has an estimate piece price of $400.

The Normandie, also had a 1930's motion picture, with color! So you could see what colors, what the inside, and lifeboats looked like! It is similar to the Queen Mary. You can see he Queen mary in California, it was repaired since its collision.

Quoting Thomas N Now you must make a Lego iceberg and do the scene of the collision. That would be awesome. ~T
I'm considered doing that, yet it is alredy destroyed. I am now in progress of remaking the Normandie, bigger and better. Yet, I will still make a movie on the Normandie's fire. By the way, your birthday's coming up, isn't it?

Oh! How, BEAUTIFUL!! Thank you for posting this Titanic! Did you hear about the Titanic 100th anniversary cruise? http://www.titanicmemorialcruise.co.uk/?gclid=CJPY5PH9x58CFWpd5Qodhywy3A Oh sorry for the late comment! ;)

The lighting is, suprisingly, just one small light bulb inside the Titanic. Yes, Wes, I did try to stand at the bow and scream that. Sadly, the bow didn't survive...

Wow, that's huge. I love the lighting effect. How did you accomplish that? Do you ever stand at the bow and shout "I'M THE KING OF THE WORLD!!"?

Great, now that my jaw hit the floor and shattered, I'll have to find all the pieces. Your amazing builds are just further complicating my life, thanks. Great work Maxime. Now what about that aircraft carrier? ~T

Sorry, the info is on the front page, but I dramatically ran out of one kind of a necessary piece(for the top deck). Last minute info I got- The piece was discontinued. I at least kept the aircraft and will post them.
