This is mind-blowing [no pun intended ;) ]. You're so lucky you have that 1:1 pic of the real thing!! Though, isn't the Barrett dark gray? I have some questions... WHERE DID YOU GET ALL OF THOSE BLACK PIECES?!?! Did you have them already, or did you buy them on Bricklink? If you did buy them from Bricklink, how did you know what to get? Thanks, I'm just trying to learn from other people. Great vids btw. |

My god. It's been a while since I've browsed mocpages. This is crazy good. I haven't touched legos in 4 years man. I look back and see all these new parts and I just think: "wow, why didn't we have that, or knew these techniques back in the day". I'm loving the 1x2 sloped tiles by the way. That's something I'd dream about when I was years younger. Good stuff |

Wow, this project has really come a long way!
Two things you still need to improve,
1. The pistol grip; it looks really flimsy maybe add a couple bricks at the back...
2. THE MUZZLE BREAK; you should just mod the peices so they fit perfectly, no one will mind if you mod some more =D
After that, MAKE INSTRUCTIONS for the body mostly, I am good at remaking things on LDD, but not that good...
Hope you can finish it in the near future! |

Very nice work on this one! Just as i thought that you couldnt get any better... You did. Also, i have an idea for the firing mechanism. Since the gun (my guess is) has a lot of room inside it it could contain a hollow sliding tube containing a hammer that would fire the bullet out using a spring or something like that. It would be able to be pulled back and then make the hammer stay in place but let the slide get back to its original place. It would fire out the whole bullet but atleast it would fire. It's only a dusty idea but in my mind it works. Peace~ me. |

Quoting Max S. The barrel looks a bit short to me...and a bit too thick, too...but if I'm wrong with this please correct me. There is a version with a shorter barrel, but I didn't take the time to ensure the correct length; I just eyeballed it. So it's probable too short, but by about 4 studs or so. I did this because the longer barrel put too much stress on the front and risked breaking the gun every time it moved. |

Quoting Joaquin Wells you have really influenced (and intimidated me) when it comes to building replica weapons :)
Glad to hear that I'm an influence (and an intimidation).
Quoting Joaquin Wells I would like to ask your permission to use some of your ideas when I do my version 3 Barrett ... I was hoping to use your stock, rail system, magazine, and pistol grip designs, and any others if i see that i cant find an original way to make them. your scope design is also very creative and i might apply some characteristics of it to scopes i build in the future. of course, i would give you full credit for the designs.
You have my permission. I'll be doing instructions for small parts of the gun, like the new rail and scope (maybe). I hope you can come up wit some new methods that might work better than mine, such as adding a mag release and a firing mechanism. Good luck! |

I don't think that it is fair to say that my Barrett surpassed anything you had built, your creations continually out-genius the previous one, and my Barrett is really the most major MOC i have done. You to a ton of amazing replicas, and most of them are actually working, where my Barrett is not. you have really influenced (and intimidated me) when it comes to building replica weapons :)
I would like to ask your permission to use some of your ideas when I do my version 3 Barrett, probably this summer, in which i will probably disassemble most of the piece and essentially start from scratch to make it somewhat comparable to yours. I was hoping to use your stock, rail system, magazine, and pistol grip designs, and any others if i see that i cant find an original way to make them. your scope design is also very creative and i might apply some characteristics of it to scopes i build in the future. of course, i would give you full credit for the designs. great job, once again, and i cant wait to see more! |

Quoting Joaquin Wells I am so impressed that you went into enough detail to even CUT the bricks to make a slant for the rail system! ... I can't wait for another version, and i cant wait to see how more superb this MOC can get! I've been wanting to make a realistic rail for so long and I just said "what the heck" and started cutting, sanding, and drilling. Even I will be relieved when I finish this. I'll try to get instructions for my scope up for everyone. |
